Remothered: Red Nun’s Legacy Walkthrough: Find a Way Into the Mansion
After the cutscene with Angelo wraps up, you’ll need to find your way inside the mansion. Walk straight ahead only to discover the main entrance is locked. Don’t stress! Head slightly south to the left of the door where you’ll find a vase. Interact with it, and you’ll reveal the key. Now you can unlock the door and gain entry to the mansion’s courtyard.
Once you’re in the courtyard, veer left and crouch to sneak past an area. Keeping low, move forward until you come across a vent. Here, triggering the interaction will kick off a short cutscene, marking the end of the first objective and presenting you with the next.
Escape the Pit
Now begins your escape from the pit. It’s dark down there, so whip out your flashlight to illuminate your surroundings. Head forward and start climbing the stairs. You’ll trigger a brief cutscene midway. Once it finishes, push through the stuck door and continue your escape.
Investigate the Area
Having scrammed from the pit, it’s time to explore the new area. Turn left and smack into the door to enter. To the north, you’ll see a shiny object with a search symbol. Interact with it, and you’ll initiate another cutscene.
Post-cutscene, you’ll hear footsteps. It’s vital to find a hiding spot; head to the left side of the room and duck beneath the bench to avoid getting caught.
Investigate the Metronome
Edge out of your hiding spot once it’s safe. You’ll discover that the door to the north is locked, so exit through the right to keep moving. Further ahead, interact with the object on your left. This will initiate another cutscene featuring a metronome, completing your objective and transitioning you to a new scene.
Find a Way Out
Your next task is to find an escape route, but the current door is locked. Check the side table next to the bed; there’s a key waiting for you. Use this key to unlock the door ahead, then follow the path and walk through the door at the end of the hallway until you trigger another cutscene.
Once back in a familiar area, you’ll be introduced to the Metronome’s mechanics.
Look for an Exit
The locked door on the right of the Metronome is now accessible. Go through and immediately turn left; you’ll catch a glimpse of the Red Nun, but don’t panic just yet. Press on ahead and you’ll find a door adorned with a compass rose, but it’s currently locked.
From here, veer right and sift through the drawer you pass to snag a pair of scissors. Keep moving ahead and you’ll be faced with two new objectives.
Finding the Compass Rose Key
There’s another door ahead, but ignore it for now and check to the left side of the room for a healing item. After collecting it, turn back and head through the door you saw earlier. Keep advancing until you reach another locked door on your left.
Interact with this to obtain a new task. Press on ahead, and you’ll spot yet another door on your left. Go inside to find a statue upfront. You’ll notice several interactable objects, particularly the paintings—make sure to inspect them. You can find an item called the Deco Pinecone in the cupboard nearby.
Right next to the cupboard is a music box; interact with it to gain another objective. From here, turn right, and you’ll discover the Compass Rose Key. Grab it promptly, as you’ll need it to unlock that compass rose door.
Open the Compass Rose Door
Head back to the Compass Rose door and unlock it. A cutscene will begin as you enter, so prepare yourself to move stealthily through the new area.
Seek shelter behind the dining table while the nun moves away. Once it’s clear, head right towards the Metronome to save your progress. After saving, make your way back to the path and proceed.
Continue along the path and towards the left. You’ll come across a disturbing hanging body, but press on. Take a right, and soon you’ll spot the door that requires the Compass Rose Key.
Finding the Library Key
Inside, you’ll notice several interactable objects all around. Examine them carefully before heading forward on the left side. At the path’s end, look for a blue book and interact with it to secure the Library Key.
Now backtrack toward the left side and proceed with caution, as a nun will likely enter the area. Use a glass or anything throwable to create a distraction, drawing her away, then exit on the left and look straight ahead to see the library.
Apply the Library Key to unlock the door, and a cutscene will commence as you prepare to enter.
Unlock the Library
After the cutscene, interact with the library door to enter. You’ll find various interactable objects on the ground floor, so check them all before heading upstairs. After searching, ascend to the first floor where a Groom Figurine awaits.
From there, push forward through the door, and you’ll catch a glimpse of the Red Nun again. Head forward, but make sure to take a left before heading down the stairs to explore the drawer on the right. Inside, you’ll find a new weapon—grab it before you return to the main path and go downstairs.
As you descend, a nun or the stalker may come rushing at you; avoid her by heading down the stairs. If she keeps up, look for a hiding spot to outsmart her before continuing. You might not see the stalker immediately, but be prepared for her encounters, especially in tight spaces.
Repair the Music Box
Next, head to the music box located in the room brimming with paintings and add the Groom Figurine to it. Once done, the box will spring to life, and you’ll trigger another cutscene. With the sequence over, you will now earn the Doves Medal, rounding off the objective.
Open The Bird Cage
With the Doves Medal in hand, exit the room, turn right, and head upstairs. You must navigate to the library to reach the stairwell. As you progress, a nun will shove you down, resulting in a health hit—don’t sweat it, it’s scripted.
Now, you’ll need to return to the painting room using any path you prefer; a chase sequence will kick off, so duck around to stay clear of the nun. Make your way back upstairs, continue forward, and open the door.
Upon entering, descend the stairs on the left. In the center of the room, a birdcage will catch your eye. Use the Doves Medal to unlock it. After that, interact with the Metronome to trigger another cutscene. Once it concludes, you’ll unlock the Retrocognition power, allowing deeper insights into the game’s story.
Use the Retrocognition Power
Having unlocked the new power, you will find yourself back in the same room. This time, you won’t notice a key on the side table, but an oddity will be present. Interact with the table adopting a candle, and you’ll utilize the Retrocognition ability to unlock a memory. Proceed out of the room afterward.
Continue onward, keeping an eye out for interactable objects. At the end of the hallway, you’ll find that very same table; use Retrocognition again. Just off to your left, a plant can be interacted with to present you with a new task.
At this stage, you’ll have four active objectives. We’ve covered a significant ground throughout this walkthrough, with more to tackle in future installments. This wraps up the first portion of the Remothered: Red Nun’s Legacy walkthrough.
