How to Complete the Redwood Secret in Far Far West
Start off by talking to JACK to initiate the mission. After that, you’ll need to track down all four required items and take them back to the cauldron next to him.
Here’s the map to help you locate all the necessary items for this quest:
1. Find the Mysterious Crow
The crow can be spotted near its totem in the Redwood area. To gather the Mysterious Crow, you must circle the totem six times in any direction.
As you race around the totem, keep your ears peeled for the crow’s distinct caw. After each lap, it will caw once, so you’ll want to make those laps count! Your goal is to circle around until you catch six of those caws, and just like that, you should be able to grab the item you’re after.
2. Find the Mysterious Pumpkin
Your next target is a large glowing pumpkin that has a purple beam of light shining above it. Use the earlier map to guide you to its location and move towards the beam.
When you reach the pumpkin, strike it with a melee attack to collect the Mysterious Pumpkin.

3. Find the Mysterious Soul
The Mysterious Soul isn’t found in a set location. Instead, you’ll need to defeat enemies until you get the drop.
- Ensure you’ve spoken to JACK and triggered the secret mission.
- Engage and eliminate enemies across the map.
- Check the loot drops until you acquire the Mysterious Soul.
Keep taking out enemies if it doesn’t drop at first. It might take downing several foes before it shows up.
4. Find the Mysterious Lantern
For the Mysterious Lantern, you’ll need to gather 10 lantern flames from the caves. Check the Redwood map for the locations of four cave entrances, and explore them as you search.
Here’s how to tackle this part effortlessly:
- Locate a cave entrance and take the lantern situated outside.
- Head inside the cave and search for the lanterns.
- Turn off the lanterns to collect their flames.
- Keep going until you have a total of 10 lantern flames.
To get through this secret segment, you’ll need to gather a total of 10 flames. Make sure to keep an eye out for them as you make your way forward!
How to Claim the Redwood Secret Reward
After acquiring all four items, head back to JACK and drop them into the cauldron beside him.
With all the items in the cauldron, you’ll see a notification saying, “Secret completed!” and you’ll receive your rewards.
Here’s what you’ll receive:
- Final Ember Joker: Your attacks become electrified when your health is 30% or below.
- Temporary weapon: A weapon with 30 uses, reminiscent of the THUNDERSTRIKE skill. You can replenish its uses.
Before returning to the cauldron, double-check that you have all four items. If the Mysterious Soul hasn’t dropped yet, continue taking down enemies after starting the quest.
Redwood Graves & Discs Locations
If you’re on the hunt for Graves and Music Discs in Redwood, use the accompanying map to find their locations. Some Graves may be hidden within caves, so if you can’t locate one at a marked spot, check the nearby area for cave entrances.
