If you’re struggling to survive the later chapter bosses in Dicero Git, there is a strategy that can completely change how you approach these fights: indefinite stalling.
The idea is pretty simple. Instead of trying to kill the boss as quickly as possible, you build your character around surviving indefinitely while slowly scaling your HP and defensive effects. Eventually, the boss will fall while you remain alive.
This setup does require some specific progression and gear, so it isn’t something every new player can immediately use. However, once you have the right pieces, it becomes a very powerful way to handle difficult chapter bosses.
There are a few important requirements if you want to reliably pull off an indefinite boss stall.
You should have:
These are the main pieces of the setup.
The higher your defensive investment, the easier the stall becomes. You don’t necessarily need every possible survival effect, but the closer you get to the recommended setup, the more consistent the strategy will feel.

As of Season 4, the recommended outfits for this strategy are:
Both are excellent choices when your main goal is survival.
If you have them available, I would prioritize these over more offensive options when you’re specifically trying to build an indefinite stall.
The two defensive Asterite effects mentioned above are particularly important:
You should aim for these at Legendary tier or higher.
The Gold Crown effects from Sunflare Asterites are also highly recommended.
On top of that, having a Glorious-tier Necklace can make the setup even stronger.
You can also benefit from other survival-focused effects. These aren’t mandatory, but anything that helps you take less damage, survive longer, or recover HP can make the stall more reliable.
So, don’t look at every item in this section as an absolute requirement. Think of them as the ideal setup you’re working toward.
Your pet setup is another major part of making this strategy work.
The recommended options are:
Violetine Level 20+
or
Qwikking Level 15+ + Chompster Level 10+
Chompster is especially important for the alternative setup because you can use it to build up your HP over time.
There is also a way to bypass some of these requirements if you’re willing to spend more time setting things up.
You can farm Chompster’s innate skill for hours before taking the “Stronger Each Fight” skill.
It’s obviously not the fastest or most convenient approach, but if you’re missing some of the other requirements, it can give you another route toward achieving the same goal.
Once you’ve got the equipment and pets ready, your skill choices become one of the most important parts of the entire strategy.
For a normal chapter run, you might prioritize damage and faster clears.
For an indefinite stall, that’s not necessarily what you want.
Your objective is to create a setup where you can survive indefinitely while still having enough damage available to eventually kill the boss.
That means defensive and scaling skills become much more valuable than they normally would be.
The original guide includes a specialized skill tier list for this exact strategy, so if you’re building around indefinite stalling, use that tier list rather than a standard chapter skill ranking.
The biggest mindset change with this strategy is that you don’t have to kill the boss immediately.
Your goal is to survive.
Once you’ve reached the point where the boss can’t realistically kill you, you can spend time building your HP and other scaling effects until you’re ready to finish the fight.
This is where Chompster becomes extremely useful.
You can use the stall to accumulate HP buffs until you’ve reached whatever amount you need.
There is an additional technique that makes achieving effectively infinite health much easier.
The key is finding a pip attack-over-enemy-defense sweet spot.
You need to have a specific deficit in your attack. Before the pip calculation, your attack should show a negative number.
The goal is to find a point where one or two specific pips loaded onto all four starting dice bring your attack to just barely above zero.
Ideally, you’re looking for roughly:
100–300 damage before the combo multiplier.
This is the sweet spot.
When you’re sitting in this range, you can comfortably avoid actually dealing meaningful damage to the enemies.
At the same time, you’ll periodically have an escape combination available.
That gives you the best of both worlds:
This is particularly useful when you’re trying to farm Chompster’s HP buffs.
Once you’ve found your pip sweet spot, the process becomes fairly straightforward.
Get your attack low enough that your starting dice combinations don’t normally deal meaningful damage.
You’re looking for the specific range where the right pip combination brings you just above zero.
Once you’re in the sweet spot, you can continue the battle without constantly killing enemies.
This gives you time to build up your HP.
Use Chompster to accumulate the HP buffs you need.
You can continue doing this for as long as necessary.
This is the part that allows the strategy to scale far beyond what you could normally achieve during a standard run.
Keep farming until you feel comfortable with your survivability.
The more HP you build, the more room you have for mistakes and unexpected damage.
Once you’re ready to progress, roll for one of the positive combinations that can actually deal meaningful damage.
Use it to secure your first one or two kills.
Those early kills will give you level-ups, and in many cases you’ll be offered the last pip as an optional skill.
Take it.
From there, your build should become much easier to manage.
With the extra pip and the HP you’ve accumulated, you can now move through the remainder of the run much more comfortably.
Instead of constantly worrying about whether the boss will eventually overwhelm your defenses, you’ve essentially turned the fight into a controlled scaling process.
