After sorting through those heavy flashbacks of his past, Dylan has finally snapped back to reality with a clear mind. Now, with Manhattan still hanging in the balance, you face your ultimate task: taking down the control resonant final boss. It is time to venture into the core and put an end to the Hedron once and for all.

Fight to the Core
Once you regain control in the Unknown, make your way directly to the central island. Up ahead, you will spot a Gravity Well—use it to launch yourself straight through the Patterning. Prepare yourself for a massive drop before you finally reach the Hedron.
First Phase
If you have fought a Hedron boss before, the rules of engagement here will feel very familiar. You cannot hurt the massive central structure directly; instead, you need to focus down the smaller enemy waves it spawns around the arena to chip away at its main health bar.
I was surprised by how simple the boss’s direct attacks are for a final encounter. It mostly throws simple projectiles at you, either in single shots or organized into basic horizontal and vertical lines. They are incredibly easy to sidestep as long as you keep moving.
Your main goal is to wait until the Hedron begins summoning enemies near the center of the platform. These targets will line up and sweep back and forth across the floor. Just time your jumps to clear this horizontal sweep while keeping your damage output steady.
I found it best to anchor yourself near the center area where the spawns occur rather than chasing them around the arena, as they always loop back to the middle anyway. Don’t lose focus, though, because those annoying projectile attacks will keep flying at you the entire time.
Once you clear out the basic wave, the boss will transition to spawning heavy enemies. Taking these brutes down will significantly drop the boss’s health bar. Because they tend to stand their ground in one spot, you can easily burn them down with heavy attacks.
That is the basic rhythm of the first phase: dodge the incoming lines, clear out the spawns, and stay on the move. As soon as you completely empty the health bar, run up and trigger your Execution attack.
Dylan will start driving his weapon repeatedly into the core, but the boss will eventually push back, sending you falling down into a surreal Patterned void. As you fall, you will hear a disorienting mix of random lines spoken by Dylan and Jesse.
Don’t fall for the voices—that isn’t actually Jesse talking to you, it is just the Hedron playing mind games. Quick-key your next Execution prompt to smash through the illusion and deal heavy damage.
Second Phase
The boss drags you right back into reality to kick off the second phase. The core loop remains the same—kill the spawns to hurt the boss—but you now have to deal with a much more aggressive set of attacks.
The second you hit the floor, immediately use your Shift ability to jump to one of the side platforms to get things moving. The boss will now begin firing high-powered lasers directly at you.
These lasers will either target you individually or converge on the exact spot you are standing on. Try not to panic when the screen fills with light. Just keep moving constantly, and the beams will completely miss you.
Hold your fire and wait for the boss to summon its guard units. You need to watch your positioning here, as these enemies will now slide across the stage while projecting lethal horizontal laser lines between them.
You can completely stop this deadly sweep by destroying any single enemy involved in forming the line. I recommend using Barrage or your favorite long-range ability to snap the link from a safe distance.
About halfway through this phase, you might notice that the spawns have dried up. This is because the remaining targets have actually spawned on a separate platform across the gap.
Look across and use your Reach ability on the distant platforms to cross over and keep the pressure on. The fight plays out similarly here, but watch out: the boss’s single laser will now track your movements, and it will start throwing homing projectiles into the mix.
To make things even more chaotic, heavy enemies will start landing on your platform. Always make these heavy targets your top priority and take them down the moment they appear.
And that is the second phase in a nutshell. Once the health bar is gone, trigger another Execution. Just like last time, the boss will pull you into the void so you can strike the core directly.
Wait out the swirling Patterned lines until they completely dissipate, then strike with your Execution attack to transition to the final stage of the fight.
Third Phase
Only one more round to go. Much like the last phase, you will have to manage your position across two main combat platforms.
Your focus should remain on clearing the summoned enemies, especially the heavy variants, since they are the ones linked to the main health pool. If you find your health getting low, treat the weaker minions as quick healing targets.
The boss pulls out some final tricks here, launching small, explosive copies of itself toward your position. There is a slight delay before they detonate, giving you a brief window to dodge out of their blast radius.
Whenever you run out of active targets on your current platform, simply Shift across to the other side to hunt down the next wave.
If you find yourself in a tight spot, keep an eye out for the Health Orbs scattered around the arena. I suggest saving these and only grabbing them when you are genuinely close to dying.
By this stage, the fight can feel like a bit of an endurance test, but hang in there. Empty the remaining health bar, trigger your final cinematic Execution, and strike the core one last time to finish it.
This final strike will shatter the core, triggering a massive explosion that completely clears the corrupted anomaly from the skies over Manhattan.
The End
With the physical core destroyed, you will wake up at the Gap, listening to the incomprehensible, fragmented voice of the Board. Once Dylan gets back on his feet, guide him up the stone stairs to trigger the next cinematic scene.
You will quickly realize that you only destroyed the boss’s physical anchor; the entity itself is now invading Dylan’s consciousness. The screen will distort as Dylan begins to succumb to the Patterning effects.
Zoe tries to reach Dylan over the radio as she rushes toward the Unknown. She feels a momentary wave of relief seeing the sky clear, but that joy vanishes when she hears Dylan screaming, desperately telling her to activate the MCD.
Activating the device is the only way to permanently sever the entity’s hold, but doing so comes with a tragic catch: the process will end Dylan’s life.
The game then cuts to a memory of Doctor Darling addressing a young Dylan right after the incident with Roberts. We already knew Darling designed the MCD as a control measure, and Dylan is now reliving those exact memories.
Returning to the Gap, we see that the MCD wasn’t enough to subdue him this time. Instead of letting it control him, Dylan has physically ripped the device straight out of the back of his neck.
Kill The Hedron
Once you regain control of Dylan, you will see the crimson glow of the Hiss swirling inside your containment cell. Dylan murmurs that he knows what he must do—suggesting he might actually use their corrupted power to defeat the entity.
Walk forward and interact with the glass of the cell. You will see a corrupted reflection of Dylan staring back. Using his Aberrant, Dylan shatters the glass, allowing the Hiss energy to fully infuse his weapon.
While you are in this empowered state, all of your base attacks deal massively increased damage, allowing you to absolutely shred through any obstacles.
The remains of the boss lie at the very end of the floating path, so start platforming your way forward. You don’t even need to worry about the minor enemies along the way; the surrounding Hiss forces will wipe them out for you.
The only real roadblock is a large, circular platform at the halfway point. You will need to clear out one final wave of hostile spawns here to open up the path ahead.
From there, it is just a simple matter of platforming until you reach the core. As you draw near, the Board desperately tries to intervene, warning Dylan that destroying the entity will ultimately cost him his life.
Dylan has had enough of their games. He charges forward and stabs the core with his Hiss-infused Aberrant, successfully destroying it—though the consequences are immediate.
What Did You Do, Jesse?
The final scene shows Dylan collapsing to the floor, taking his final, heavy breaths as the entity’s energy fades away and the skies clear completely.
This selfless act finally frees Jesse from being trapped inside the Patterning, but the victory is incredibly bittersweet.
Jesse regains consciousness, realizing her younger brother sacrificed everything to clear Manhattan and bring her back from the brink.
But Jesse didn’t fight through the entire Oldest House just to watch her brother die. In a desperate, emotional move, she refuses to let him go.
She places her hand directly over Dylan’s chest, channeling her immense power to force a resonance transfer, effectively trading her life force for his.
Dylan opens his eyes, fully revived and cured, but he is left holding his sister’s body, as Jesse has taken his place in the dark.
