You start your journey in End of Abyss watching your team head down an elevator, leaving you and Soldier-E19 behind. It is a tense, confusing start, but your immediate goal is simply to catch up with the rest of the crew by navigating the surrounding sector. Expect a mix of platforming and light environmental puzzles as you find your footing in this hostile environment.
This opening stretch is designed to test your awareness, and it is incredibly easy to miss hidden pathways or waste time backtracking if you don’t keep an eye on your surroundings. I personally wasted a good ten minutes running in circles because I overlooked a simple crawlspace near the initial broken bridge. Take your time to really look at the geometry before you rush forward.
Before you dive into the facility, make sure you are comfortable with your Scanner controls, as you will need to rely on it constantly to find hidden Energy Nodes. Check your inventory for any starting gear, and keep an eye out for Fragments early on—you will want to stockpile these for when the Workbenches eventually come online.

Following Soldier E-19
After the intro cutscene, your team will depart via elevator. Stay close to Soldier-E19, as he will lead you through the first door to proceed.
You will encounter a broken bridge shortly after. Climb up the structure and use the lever to extend the second section of the bridge.
Keep following the soldier until you reach a door that is locked from the other side. This is your cue to use the Scanner to analyze the area; you will need to jump down a large hole in the floor to bypass the obstacle.
Smash the storage crates on your left to clear a path outside. Once you drop down the ledge, slip into the crawlspace located to your right.
Shatter the remaining crates on the other side and climb the ladder to reach the opposite side of that locked door. Use the lever on the left to open it and let Soldier-E19 through.
The soldier will eventually bring you to an Energy Node Door. Use your Scanner to trace the yellow line; once you locate the Energy Node, shoot it to force the door open.
Step onto the elevator to descend deeper into the facility. When it stops, move forward and open the final door in the passage to enter the Habitation Sector.
Unlocking the Habitation Door
Ignore the locked door on your right for a moment, as it requires the Worker Access Keycard to function.
Head into the room to the right of the large Habitation Door to find your first Restoration Pod. These are vital for healing, saving your progress, and managing your Suit Mods.
You will find a Workbench in the same room, though it is currently offline. Grab the Health Booster from the floor, which will automatically refill whenever you interact with a Restoration Pod.
Continue through the right-hand door and start collecting Fragments from the floor. These act as your primary currency for crafting and upgrading gear.
Before passing through the door straight ahead, drop down to the left to unlock a convenient shortcut. Keeping these open will save you a lot of running time later.
Keep to the main path until you find a stairwell. You need to head up to the second floor to proceed.
You can unlock another shortcut on the left here before heading down and to the right.
Push forward until you reach the cafeteria, where a body is leaning against a door with something knocking from the other side. Avoid it and go through the door on your right.
Follow the passage to a storage room at the very end. Look for the Ventilation Cover and crawl inside.
Navigate the vents to reach a small room for extra Fragments, then continue until you emerge in a room containing two Infected Workers. Take them out quickly.
Pick up the glowing object on the ground to secure the Worker Access Keycard.
Exit through the door on the right to return to the previous passageway. Head back to the room on the right.
Defeat the two Infected Workers waiting inside to claim the Block B Keycard.
With both Keycards in your possession, you have free rein over the Habitation Section. Go back to the Habitation Door to unlock it.
If you want extra loot, visit the Block B area up the stairs. You will find more Notes and Fragments, but be prepared for a few monster encounters.
A cutscene will trigger when you return to the main Habitation Door. Use your Keycard to open it and follow Soldier E-19 to the next area.
Walk down the stairs to meet the rest of your crew and watch the next cutscene.
The captain will instruct you to bring the systems online. Interact with the cube in front of you to power up the SCU (Sector Control Unit).
After the scene, go upstairs through the main door to enter the Communications Center Control Room. Locate Soldier C-12 to get your next task.
Use the control panel on the left to Retrieve Map Data.
Take a moment to look at the map data, as it fully reveals the layout of this zone.
The door on the left contains a Workbench and a Restoration Pod. The Workbench is finally online, so save your progress here before heading out.
Climbing The Tower
Head through the passage, moving past Soldier O-14. Go down the stairs to find the entrance to the Array Chamber; your goal is to scale the tower.
Cross the steel walkway and keep going until you spot a ladder. Climb it to progress.
Watch out for your first Parasitic Flea here. These tiny pests latch onto you to drain health, but a single swing with your knife will kill them instantly.
Continue through the area, fighting off any hostiles that appear as you climb the next ladder into a narrow passage.
Once you exit into the next room, you will see a walkway with an elevator to the right. Use this to unlock the eastern exit back to the Communications Room.
Follow the walkway and pass the ladder you cannot reach yet. Head through the door in front of you.
Clear the enemies in the Array Chamber before passing through the door on the far side.
Be careful climbing the stairs, as an Infected Worker will try to ambush you from behind. Turn back, deal with both enemies, and then climb the ladder to the floor above.
You will see another ladder and a door. The door leads to a dark room containing some extra Fragments, but when you are finished, climb the ladder up.
Keep pushing forward until you find the final ladder that leads to the summit of the tower.
Upon reaching the top, you will see a Power Conduit that is currently offline. You will need a Power Converter to get it running.
Activating the Power Conduit
Head through the door at the top and pick up the Flares from the floor. Keep these for when you need to distract enemies or light up dark corners.
Go down the stairs, exit through the door, and climb the ladder to reach the lower level.
Jump off the broken railing to reach the glowing Power Converter below.
Be ready for a fight as soon as you grab the item, as multiple enemies will spawn immediately.
Head down and to the left to find a door leading to a steel walkway. The door at the end leads back to the main ladder for the Power Conduit.
Return to the Power Conduit, insert the Power Converter, and activate the system to power the Beacon.
Descend the ladder back to the steel walkway, take the next ladder down, and then activate the final ladder sequence to reach the lower levels.
Take the elevator to the right, follow the path, and head back to the Communications Room. Talk to Soldier C-12 to trigger the next objective.
