Silent Hill: Townfall Silent Hill Townfall Guide

Navigating Simon's chapter in Silent Hill: Townfall requires careful puzzle solving and avoiding The Weight. Follow this walkthrough to progress safely.

Playing as Simon in Silent Hill: Townfall puts you through some of the series’ most disorienting environmental puzzles. You will need to juggle item management alongside tight navigation, especially since Richard leaves you with his shotgun early on. It is easy to waste resources here, so treat every spare shell like gold.

The later sections introduce The Weight, a persistent threat that forces you to memorize room layouts quickly to avoid being cornered. If you aren’t paying attention to your surroundings, the looping corridors will wear you down faster than the monsters will. This section is essentially a test of your spatial awareness under pressure.

Before you dive in, make sure you have fully explored the starting floor for any missed medical supplies or notes. Bringing extra health into the industrial sections is a lifesaver, as you will be doing a fair amount of backtracking through tight, claustrophobic vents.

Silent Hill: Townfall is packed with psychological traps, and this segment is no exception. As The Weight becomes a recurring obstacle, keeping your cool is the only way to manage the more complex puzzles ahead. This walkthrough covers exactly how to navigate these challenges for Simon.

Silent Hill: Townfall – Part 6: Simon Walkthrough – Chapter 14: Fix This

Once the opening cutscene concludes, take a moment to look around the room for any leftover interactables before stepping out. You will want to locate the elevator immediately to descend to the ground floor, keeping that shotgun ready for any immediate threats.

After the elevator cutscene, head up the stairs to find a cache of medical supplies and a critical note on the right. Tucked to the left of that note, you will find a machine that requires a bit of fine-tuning to function properly.

Turning Off The Alarm – Head Up Using The Lift

After fine-tuning the machine, move to the north side to save your game, then locate the lift to your left. Once you power it up and head up, look for a steel wheel on the right and a box containing the Controller Key on the left.

Take the Controller Key back down to the ground floor. Head left to find the control panel, insert the key, and input the code A7D7 to silence the alarm.

Aligning The Industrial Pipe

Silent Hill: Townfall command console interface seen during the Simon chapter

Interact with the command console to the right of the panel and input E3E3. Rotate the wheel twice using R2, then take the lift up and rotate the wheel there once with L2.

Travel to level 3 in the lift and rotate the wheel twice using R2. Finally, move to level 4 and rotate that wheel twice with R2 as well.

If the alignment is successful, return to the ground floor. Access the command console on the left and look for the buttons labeled Gas Flow, Flow Test, and Ignite.

Final Steps

Select Gas Flow followed by Flow Test. Once the screen confirms success, hit Ignite and look for a yellow light in the northwest corner, where you will need to crouch through the debris.

Progress Through The Industrial Pipe

Grab the steel pipe on the right before entering the pipe. Equip it immediately, as you will need to fend off a crawling monster as you move through the narrow space.

You will eventually reach a fork with three directions. Clear the monster approaching from the right, then continue straight to find an exit, a rune hidden in a machine, and a ladder to descend.

After heading up the second ladder, you will find a locked door; look for a vent on the left instead. Inside, take a right and be ready to defend yourself against a monster coming from the left.

You will find a strange postcard nearby, so grab it and continue following the path. Follow the arrows if you get turned around, and stay alert for one more monster before reaching the final exit.

Head Up The Ladder

Silent Hill: Townfall ladder leading to a new area for Simon

Climb the ladder to enter a new area where you will find an immobile metal wheel. Head to the northeast room to loot essential supplies before moving up the stairs.

You will encounter a shutter gate that lacks power and requires an access card. Search this area carefully, as the lockbox key is hidden nearby.

Note

The building layout is interconnected, allowing for easier movement once power is restored. Memorize which ladder gets you where, as you will be moving through these rooms frequently.

Chapter 15: Trying Again – Restoring The Power

Descend the stairs and locate room B34 to restore the power. Return to the elevator and select the 1st floor to proceed.

Expect monsters in the hallways on this floor. Clear them out and enter the final room to collect the Joe Key and interact with the computer.

Note

The Weight appears here, and it is a major nuisance. Memorize the path to your objective so you don’t waste time running in circles; if it blocks your path, use the flare gun to stun it.

Progress Further

Silent Hill: Townfall access card needed for the first floor door

Read the email on the terminal, then use the Joe Key to enter Joe’s room. Squeeze through the gap on the left to find a machine that needs fine-tuning.

Finish the tuning to acquire the access card and upgrade to a fresh steel pipe if your current one is damaged. Eliminate the nearby monster and return to the elevator.

Open The Gate Using The Access Card

With the power on and the card in hand, return to the stairs and use the access card on the shutter gate. This will trigger a cutscene and set up the final steps of this chapter.

After the scene, use the lockbox key to open the box for the Remote Systems Control paper. Save your progress at the nearby telephone, then activate both switches on the control panel.
