After arriving at Norgan, you’re quickly thrown into the mix when locals reveal there’s been no news about the other Arisen. Instead, they mention strange rumblings from the north, which serves as a perfect lead for your quest.
This piqued my curiosity, as I’ve often wasted time looking for other leads, only to find that focusing on the north was the real starter for my adventure.

Rumbles In The North Walkthrough Dorin speaks of these rumblings coming from the north. Your first task is to reach the campsite he marks on your map.
The path to the campsite isn’t complicated, but be prepared for enemies along the way. A good mix in your party can make this easier—consider having at least one Mage for healing and either a Warrior or Archer based on your playstyle.
Make sure to check the Riftstone at the Norgandian Settlement for new Pawns with travel experience in the area; this can guide you to important locations, like caves or treasure chests.
Upon reaching the campsite, you’ll find a Portcrystal nearby. Activate it! This is crucial for quick travel later using the Eternal Ferrystone.
Make For The Mountain Stronghold
Enter the cave right by the campsite. Here, you can set up camp by lighting a bonfire, but be aware that you’ll need an Arctic Camping Kit for doing so.
After you reach the campsite Dorin mentioned, you will find a Portcrystal just outside it. This is useful, as you can fast travel there whenever you want using the Eternal Ferrystone. Make sure to activate the Portcrystal.
Make For The Mountain Stronghold
If you explore deeper into the cave, you can find an Arctic Camping Kit for free and a lootable chest. Using this kit early might not be necessary, especially if you’re in good shape.
Even if you’re down on health, it’s best to reserve the kit and instead use the Eternal Ferrystone to rest at the Inn back in the Norgandian Settlement for a complete restore.
Your quest marker will then direct you to the Mountain Stronghold, which is just a bit north of your current location. Expect to face off against several enemies blocking your way, so handle them first before heading inside.
Climb the stairs inside the stronghold until you reach a certain room. This will kick off a cutscene where your Arisen’s mark starts glowing mysteriously, dropping you to your knees and summoning a mysterious dragon that you’ll need to repel.
Repel The Dragon
This confrontation isn’t a full-on boss fight but rather a test of your endurance; just deplete a small portion of the dragon’s health.
This will trigger a cutscene where we see the Arisen’s mark start emitting a strange light, causing the Arisen to fall to his knees. Shortly after, we witness the entrance of a mysterious, strange-looking dragon. You need to repel it.
Repel The Dragon
Report Back To Dorin
The Arisen awakens at the Inn in the village, finding out that Dwayne’s dad carried him back after the encounter.
Beware! The dragon can summon small enemies and charge a mysterious orb that explodes around the arena. Stay focused and clear the small foes quickly.
As you engage, the dragon will utilize its body to push you back, so keep your healing potions handy. Target one limb at a time to manage your damage output effectively.
After destroying two limbs, the dragon will regenerate them and heal itself completely, so don’t panic. Instead, brace yourself for the next attack it unleashes—a powerful beam that can knock you down.
Just when you think you’re finished, a woman appears and recognizes the Arisen. She hints at a past with the Fallen Dragon, raising questions about whether she is the other Arisen you’re searching for.
Another attack involves charging a mysterious orb above its head, causing it to appear in different areas of the arena before it finally explodes.
If you are close to the dragon, it will use its body to slam into the ground or attack with its legs, pushing you away.
So, take it slow, get rid of the small enemies as soon as they spawn, and be sure to focus on one limb at a time and use potions when needed.
After you take out two limbs, you will see the dragon generating, yes, regenerating those limbs and healing itself to full health.
The dragon will proceed to push the Arisen and his Pawns far away and start charging an attack. You cannot interrupt it, no matter what. It will unleash a powerful beam that causes the Arisen to fall.
To your surprise, a woman will come along and recognize the Arisen. She proceeds to say that this Fallen Dragon is her burden, not yours. Could this be the other Arisen?
Report Back To Dorin
Walk outside to find Dorin engaged in a conversation with soldiers from Vernworth’s Borderwatch, seeking answers after their recent attack.
Their captain, Wash, seems eager to convince Dorin they’re not enemies, but Dorin stays cautious given their history.
After providing your purpose in Norgan, it turns out the soldiers also seek the other Arisen. Learning about the Fallen Dragon draws their curiosity.
Learning About The Sage
Wash mentions a sage believed to reside in Norgan. If you’re going to confront the Fallen Dragon, finding this sage is key.
After learning our purpose here, it seems that we share the same goal, as the soldiers are also searching for this other Arisen. After learning about the Fallen Dragon, Polyeidus, their old man becomes interested in the beast.
Learning About The Sage
You’ll need to learn of the sage’s whereabouts next. Jiera, a local, will guide you, believing the mysterious woman is indeed the Arisen you’re looking for.
To locate the sage, you must use the Spirit Compass found in the tower outside the village. Despite Dorin’s reluctance to lend this artifact to an outsider, he quickly agrees after recognizing your contributions.
In For a Hare, In For a Hound Side Quest
As you attempt to head north from the Norgandian Settlement, a little girl named Ilsa will stop you, needing help for her wolf.
In addition to that, the mysterious lady who challenged it has caught Jiera’s attention. She suspects that the woman is the other Arisen we came here to find. After all, the Arisen is a slayer of dragons.
Jiera shares the information regarding the sage, explaining that the only way to find him is by using the Spirit Compass, which is located in the tower on the outskirts of the village.
Dorin does not seem to be fond of the idea of handing their ancestral artifact to an outsider, but he quickly comes to his senses, as all we have done so far is help them. So, he decides to show you the way to the Spirit Compass.
In For a Hare, In For a Hound Side Quest
Toward the north exit of the Norgandian Settlement, you will be stopped by a little girl called Ilsa, who is standing next to her wolf.
Hunt Down Alpine Hare Meat
Ilsa will mark three potential locations nearby. I recommend starting with the closest one to the west, but you can choose any of the spots.
She asks you to bring her some food, specifically rabbit meat, preferably from Alpine Hares.
Hunt Down Alpine Hare Meat
Using the Magick Archer vocation and Pinpoint Volley is a fantastic trick for locating and taking down these Alpine Hares quickly. You can also track them with your preferred gear, but they do tend to flee.
Once you’ve successfully hunted one, loot the body for the meat and return to Ilsa. She’ll eagerly feed it to her wolf, Freki.
This makes it easy to kill the Alpine Hares. You can still track them down and hunt them using your preferred weapon, as they are white but small and will try to run away whenever you get close.
Once you hunt one, simply approach and loot it to obtain Alpine Hare Meat. Now, head back to the settlement and give it to the little girl. She will feed the meat to her wolf, Freki.
Follow Freki For Your Reward Freki’s thrilled with the meal! To show her gratitude, she’ll lead you to a hidden chest located west of the village—be sure to follow her!
Freki loves the meat and, as a token of thanks, is keen to lead you somewhere to show her appreciation. Follow Freki until you reach an area with a chest west of the village.
