Endless Rails Achievements Guide – 100% Completion

Unlock all achievements in Endless Rails with strategic upgrades and survival tips for a successful playthrough.

Endless Rails gives you control of an armed train trying to survive a monster-filled wasteland. You must manage fast-moving waves of enemies while upgrading your train and keeping the tracks clear to ensure you don’t get derailed. It becomes an intense battle of strategy and reflexes, where getting overwhelmed is just one mistake away.

Most of the Endless Rails achievements are straightforward to unlock while you play. Some require specific train upgrades or surviving long enough in the Outside. Those are worth planning for to avoid wasting time later on.

Before you dive in, focus on unlocking the necessary upgrades and managing your coins wisely. Prioritizing early drone improvements can set you up for better success as you face tougher waves.

Best Strategy for Surviving 20 Waves in the Outside

To complete the 100% achievements, you’ll need to go for the I’m Still Alive, which requires you to survive 20 waves in the Outside.

A strong setup is to use Model T and build around Rifle Drones. Shotgun Drones are best if you use them as your second priority, while Rifle Turrets will give you extra damage from the train.

For your first several runs, focus on modules that improve:

  • Drone Mobility
  • Coin Gain

Drone Mobility is especially useful early on. Your drones can move faster, gather coins, and defeat enemies without leaving the train completely vulnerable.

Get your cars to Level 3 to start trading them for global upgrades. Take at least one Max Health upgrade from a trade-in, and focus on Rifle Crit and Rifle Damage for your remaining trade-ins.

Rifle Crit can boost crit damage to 100%, greatly enhancing your rifle-oriented build.

Early Waves

You do not need an elaborate setup during the first 10 waves.

One or two Rifle Drones can significantly help in the early game. You can mix rifle and shotgun drones as the shop allows.

Focus on obtaining helpful Coin Gain and Drone Mobility modules early; replace them with more powerful Level 3 Drone modules and AI Brains later on.

When a strong upgrade appears in the shop, lock it instead of buying it right away. This way, you save coins for better opportunities later.

How to Survive the Outside

The Outside is where things start getting crazy. I found reaching Gater around Level 30 manageable, but after Level 32, the enemy waves can feel overwhelming.

At this point, it’s best to stop chasing coins. Keep your train and drones centrally located and concentrate on survival.

Use the drone special abilities often; the extra damage is a game-changer when enemies swarm the screen.

Don’t trade away your Level 3 cars once you have a solid setup. Their extra slots and modules become critical in later waves.

For I’m Still Alive, you don’t need to take down Grandma again. If you survive the wave before her appearance, you’ll still unlock the achievement.

Recommended Train Setup

This is the setup I used to survive 20 waves in the Outside:

Model T

  • Level 3 Rifle Drone

Level 3 Car 1

  • Uranium
  • Plutonium
  • Rifle Turret
  • Rifle Turret

Level 3 Car 2

  • Level 3 Shotgun Drone
  • Level 3 Rifle Drone
  • Level 2 Rifle Drone
  • Level 3 Rifle Drone

Level 3 Car 3

  • Uranium
  • Plutonium
  • Piercer
  • Plutonium

Level 3 Car 4

  • Level 2 Rifle Drone
  • Level 3 Shotgun Drone
  • AI Brain
  • AI Brain

Level 2 Car 5

  • Level 2 Shotgun Drone
  • AI Brain

Level 1 Car 6

  • Rifle Turret

You don’t have to build the train exactly like this. The modules you get can vary between runs, making an identical setup unrealistic every time.

Focus on enhancing the Rifle Drones and boosting their fire rate and damage. AI Brains are valuable for increasing the effectiveness of your drones.

In the early waves, this type of setup can provide enough firepower without excessive investment in defensive upgrades. Once you’re in the Outside and facing hordes, prioritizing your train’s survival becomes vital.
