Tenebris Somnia Achievements Guide – Hidden Trophies

Discover hidden achievements and tips essential for completing Tenebris Somnia without missing vital trophies.

Tenebris Somnia has a variety of hidden achievements that can slip by if you don’t know what to look for. Players often waste time or resources, especially when some tasks require specific conditions or items to unlock trophies. Missing these can affect your overall completion, and trust me, you don’t want to replay the game just to grab that hidden gold trophy.

One of the biggest pitfalls I encountered was diving right into boss fights without checking for optional tasks. Keep an eye on achievements like Stella Plena because it’s crucial to finish it before facing off against Sanguis. Balance is key, so progress carefully and check your achievement list often.

Before you jump into the details, make sure you have a solid understanding of your surroundings. Grab essential items like the screwdriver early on; some achievements hinge on your ability to collect or interact with certain objects in the environment.

Pay attention to the requirements for missable achievements, especially Stella Plena, which should be completed before engaging Sanguis. In this Tenebris Somnia achievement guide, I’ve outlined all 14 missable achievements, combat challenges, and details for all four endings.

Requirement: Read every page of the old book.

Make sure to read through all the pages of the old book before completing the game. This achievement doesn’t directly impact the story, so it’s possible to finish without it.

Read the book thoroughly to ensure you have every page before heading to the endgame sections.

For these achievements, specific actions or interactions in designated areas are required. Tackle them when you reach the specified locations, as they may not be available after you move on.

Missable Exploration Achievements

Requirement: Knock on Iván’s door 10 times.

At the start of the game, use your apartment keys to access Iván’s Apartment. Don’t forget to interact with the closed door 10 times before entering.

Requirement: Knock on Iván’s door 10 times.

Make this your first action. If you enter the apartment first, you risk missing out on this achievement.

Requirement: Look at Iván’s picture five times.

When you reach the second-floor apartment for the first time, go into the room next to the TV. There, you’ll find Iván’s picture along with some other items.

Interact with the picture five times to unlock the achievement.

Requirement: Look at Iván’s picture five times.

Requirement: Drink Lavendoleum while at full health.

You need to wait until your health is full before drinking Lavendoleum. If you use it while you’re injured, the requirement won’t count, so always check your health first.

Requirement: Pick up the iron pipe.

To collect the iron pipe from the bathroom, you need to acquire a screwdriver first.

  1. Go to the area where you can view the film reels.
  2. Locate the screwdriver on a box near the stairs.
  3. Take the screwdriver to the bathroom.
  4. Use it to pick up the iron pipe.

Requirement: Open every star locker.

You’ll find star lockers scattered across Floors 0, 1, 2, and 3.

Check my Tenebris Somnia Star Locker Locations guide to locate all six Copper Stars and their correct lockers.

Important: Engage in the Sanguis fight only after unlocking all star lockers. This is the point of no return for the achievement.

Requirement: Make Sanguis destroy every mannequin.

During the Sanguis boss encounter, use the standing mannequins wisely. Bait Sanguis’s attacks so that they hit the mannequins instead of you.

This requires some positioning. Don’t defeat Sanguis before you’ve successfully destroyed all mannequins.

Requirement: Keep walking through the endless corridor.

Near the game’s end, there’s a puzzle involving an endless green corridor.

Constantly move left in the corridor until the achievement unlocks. Avoid stopping or backtracking.

Requirement: Kill every Relicta ghost.

You can focus on this achievement during your journey for Ending #2. After acquiring the Aurifer, eliminate all Relicta ghosts you encounter in the area.

Don’t limit yourself to killing them only on the route to Séptimo Arte; every floor has Relicta ghosts waiting to be dispatched.

Important: Kill counts may not register properly, so to avoid missing it, follow these guidelines:

  • Avoid multi-killing with a single attack.
  • Wait for each ghost’s gold particles to fade before moving on.
  • Check each area thoroughly before progressing.

Near the end of the game, you’ll encounter a puzzle involving an endless green corridor.

Keep moving left through the corridor until the achievement unlocks. Don’t turn back or stop searching for another route.

Heart of Lead

Requirement: Kill every Relicta ghost.

You can work toward this achievement during the route for Ending #2. After obtaining the Aurifer, kill the Relicta ghosts throughout the area.

Don’t think about killing the ghosts only on the way to Séptimo Arte. Check every floor and kill all the Relicta you encounter.

Important: This achievement may not register every kill correctly. To reduce the risk of missing it:

  • Don’t kill multiple Relicta with a single attack.
  • After killing a ghost, wait until its gold particles disappear.
  • Check each floor carefully before moving on.

Some achievements necessitate defeating foes or bosses under specific conditions. It’s wise to save your game before tackling these more challenging tasks.

Combat Achievements

Requirement: Complete the game using only the wrench.

To achieve this, finish the game exclusively with the wrench; no other weapons allowed.

This challenge works well combined with Iron and Wax, which has its own requirements tied to boss fights.

Requirement: Escape into another room before a Vorax explodes.

Locate a Vorax, the large enemy that detonates upon taking damage. Engage it until it turns red and starts charging.

Quickly retreat to another room and wait for the explosion before returning. Note that this requires a firearm, so if you’re going for Wrench Queen, make a separate save.

Requirement: Kill at least two enemies with one attack. Carnitos do not count.

The elevator hallways offer a great opportunity to complete this achievement.

If you encounter only one enemy, leave it alive until you spot others. Then, use a shotgun or the wrench to strike them at once.

Make a save beforehand, as you may sustain damage while waiting for enemies to group up.

Requirement: Defeat Obscuratus using only the wrench.

Obscuratus is the first significant boss; you’ll find it in a room lit by candles.

Only use the wrench during this fight; do not switch to any other weapons.

Combining this with Wrench Queen is easy, as both achievements revolve around using the wrench.

Requirement: Defeat Fumus using only the iron pipe.

Fumus is the second boss, encountered after you utilize the animal skull key.

First, obtain the iron pipe from the bathroom before finishing that fight.

If you’re aiming for Wrench Queen, keep this endeavor separate, as using the pipe will nullify that achievement.

Requirement: Kill three Carnitos with one hit.

You’ll face Carnitos after using the Chisel item.

Let three enemies spawn and gather closely, then strike them down in one swift move.

Requirement: Defeat Carnitos without taking damage.

Position yourself in the bottom-right corner of the arena when facing Carnitos.

This will allow you to reduce damage while attacking enemies and drawing them toward you.

Avoid damage; restart from your last save if you take even a hit.

Requirement: Die after Lacuna drops you.

Lacuna appears on the route for Ending #1.

Stay still when you notice Lacuna’s attack where it screams and jumps, allowing it to grab you and drop you to your demise.

This action will trigger the achievement.

Requirement: Get eaten by Hermes.

Hermes is the boss encountered during your quest for Ending #2.

You’ll encounter Carnitos after using the Chisel key item.

The best position is the bottom-right corner of the arena. From there, you can shoot the enemies while reducing the risk of being hit.

If you’re completing Wrench Queen, you can also use this position with the wrench. Move out just far enough to draw enemies toward you, then time your attacks carefully.

Restart from a save if you take damage before defeating Carnitos.

Acrophobia

Requirement: Die after Lacuna drops you.

Lacuna is the boss encountered on the route to Ending #1.

During the first phase, watch for the attack where Lacuna screams, jumps, and lands. When this attack begins, stay still so Lacuna can grab you and drop you to your death.

Let the attack kill you to unlock the achievement.

Devoured

Requirement: Get eaten by Hermes.

Hermes is the boss you encounter on the route to Ending #2.
