You’ll explore the Gridfall in Loftia, and before diving in, crafting the Bounce Shoes is essential. This area needs a lot of repairs, and you’ll play a key role in getting it back in shape. Be sure to upgrade your project station so you can create repair kits to tackle the tasks ahead.

Crafting The Bounce Shoes
Before heading to Gridfall, the first order of business is crafting the Bounce Shoes. You’ll unlock the blueprint after you finish a page in the Central Lake research station. For Craftcore, gather materials to process plank, metal plate, plastic sheet, and rubber.
To create Echo Weave, refine linen using flax and convert jute into jute fabric. Make sure to upgrade your refining stations to access these materials. You’ll also need to gather rattan and plant fiber for crafting. Catch Murky Waters fish in the overgrowth area while you’re at it.
For your Bounce Shoes, you’ll require an Aluminium Bar, Banana Leather, and Resin. Resin can be collected from the trees in the Overgrowth, while Banana Leather is made by refining bananas. To obtain an Aluminium Bar, you need to refine Bauxite ore.
You can locate Bauxite ore in caves within the Overgrowth and Hanging Gardens. A useful tip is to explore a cave located on the southern side of the central lake, just behind the waterfall.
Visiting Gridfall
Once you’ve crafted the Bounce Shoes, return to the Hanging Gardens. Speak with Herb, then visit Cliff to gain access to Gridfall. Hop onto the tram and off you go!
Head upstairs and chat with Cliff again. Move a bit further along and deliver the crate to Mita.
Keeping The Lights On
Following your delivery, approach Milo and have a word with him. To find the wrench needed for repairs, clear the trash heap in front of him. Now you’re set to fix things up in Loftia. Your next objective is to locate and repair three lamp posts throughout Gridfall. Don’t worry too much about finding specific ones – they’re scattered around!
One lamp post can be found in Neon Alley right by the grid. Use your wrench to repair it, earning some rusted metal in the process. The second one is located in Patwork Plaza, close to some bikes and a bus stop. The last lamp post sits in the northeast corner of the Historical Quarter, next to some traffic lights.
After repairing the lamp posts, return to Milo. To continue, you’ll need to craft repair kits, which means upgrading your project station to level three first. You can find electronic scraps by breaking down a television, so gather that along with the other required materials to craft those kits.
Return to Gridfall and focus on repairing two Hydroponic machines that resemble glass containers with plants inside. You’ll spot these two broken machines near Milo’s shop, specifically close to the wall adorned with flowers. Restoring them rewards you with Rust Resistant Alloys as a bonus.
