Chapter Three in Planet Zoo 2 is all about boosting conservation efforts. You’ll kick things off by restoring the ecosystem in the Sumatra reserve. Education plays a big role here, so expect to set up animal talks, education boards, and speakers to engage your guests.
For a deeper dive into the game, be sure to check out its official page.
Sumatra Reserve – Bronze
Your first task is to take photos of branded equipment before removing it all. After that, expand the lowland rainforest ecosystem. Remember to add grass, ferns, tree litter, and rocky cover as needed. If the terrain’s not right, don’t hesitate to push the boundaries.
Next, release the gifted long-tailed parakeet family and a solitary male Malayan tapir. For the parakeets, you’ll need to set up a captivity nest first. Access the Adjust Ecosystem Zone option and create a Peatland Ecosystem on the degraded land.
Establish the river ecosystem next, which requires water area. Use the terrain tools to lower the ground and pour water to create a river. After that, release the gifted otters into this new ecosystem.
Java – Bronze
To progress, research the Saltwater Crocodile and Malayan Tapir to level 3. This unlocks release groups for them. Create a solitary male release group for the crocodile, and form a maternal group for the tapir currently in your zoo.
Next, it’s time to relocate your animals: the sun bear into the crocodile’s former habitat, place the Siamang in a medium rainforest habitat, and put the tapir in a small rainforest habitat that suits its needs.
Care for your new animals! The sun bear would appreciate some toys and food enrichment items, along with a bit more soil for its terrain. The tapir is simpler; just add a little more soil to the habitat.
Siamangs are more demanding. Equip their habitat with toys and food enrichment items, adjust the terrain ratio, and add a medium constructed shelter for comfort.
Head over to facilities to construct a restaurant. Customize staff uniforms from their info panel and to boost your food profit, consider adding at least four more food shops and a few vending machines.
Work on improving your zoo’s reputation. Check on the aquarium and enhance the welfare of your leopard sharks. Your guest education levels are low, so place some education facilities and address thirst issues by adding drink shops. Also, incorporating recycling bins will help improve sustainability.
Rural France – Bronze
Set up six donation bins. Place one Nature’s Keepers shop for guests to buy adoption packs for the animals. Work towards a donation review of 10,000 by situating more bins in busy viewing areas.
Next, adopt two Binturongs and make sure to raise their welfare to 100%. You can house them with the beavers, just remember to reduce the rocky area in their habitat.
Install two conversation boards near the Binturong habitat, setting topics like Habitat Loss and Population Fragmentation. Don’t forget to put a speaker nearby for rainforest ambience. A Binturong conversation project also needs to be completed.
Create two animal talk points within your zoo, ensuring to place seating around them. Hire a few educators to give lectures here by connecting seating areas to the talk points.
Finally, increase guest education to three stars by implementing additional education facilities.
