Can ‘Em Can ‘Em All: Endings, Achievements & Unlocks

Unlock achievements and features in Can 'Em All with these tips and steps.

In Can ‘Em All, unlocking every feature isn’t just about buying factory upgrades. Some features rely on specific story emails, while others have hidden requirements or involve resetting your factory. You’ll learn how to get weapons, processing machines, the Casino, factory selling, permanent upgrades, and the endings.

All Unlocks, Secret Achievements and Endings

Spoiler Alert: This section contains spoilers regarding the hidden achievements and the game’s conclusion.

At the end of each in-game day, head to the elevator to access the Upgrade Tree. This is where you can unlock new weapons, ammunition, machines, and enhancements through various upgrade branches.

How to Unlock Weapons and Factory Upgrades

  • New weapons and ammunition.
  • Machines for processing creatures.
  • Conveyor belts and automated systems.
  • Turrets and other factory enhancements.

Prioritize upgrades that boost can value, enhance production speed, and unlock conveyor belts. Getting your factory automated makes earning money a lot smoother. Trust me, if I had known this sooner, I wouldn’t have wasted as many resources.

Critical Reminder: Ensure your conveyor belts connect properly to the selling tube. An incomplete route won’t deliver your cans automatically, leading to wasted time.

The Casino is accessed through the email system in the game. You’ll need to move through specific weapon upgrades and story emails to gain entry.

Here’s the process to unlock the Casino:

How to Unlock the Casino in Can ‘Em All

Note: Simply unlocking or buying the Pistol alone won’t grant you Casino access. You must accept the invitation from the “Feeling Lucky” email.

The Casino isn’t mandatory for any of the achievements, so don’t stress if you choose not to engage with it.

You can’t sell your factory right off the bat, even after acquiring a bunch of upgrades. The Sell Your Factory option unlocks through the progression of the company’s story emails and accepting a specific offer.

Here’s what to do to unlock this feature:

  1. Keep working through the story emails.
  2. Unlock the Uzi to get past the “When Money Was the Problem” email.
  3. Unlock the AK-47 to receive the “Excellent Work” email.
  4. Continue until you get the “An Offer You Can’t Refuse” email from the company.
  5. Open the email and click Accept.
  6. The Sell Your Factory option will now be activated.

How to Unlock Sell Your Factory

Even if I’ve decked out my factory with loads of shiny upgrades, I can’t just offload it whenever I want. To access the Sell Your Factory feature, I have to make some real progress in the narrative of the game through those story emails and embrace a particular offer that comes my way.

Here’s my step-by-step guide to get that option rolling:

  1. I keep pushing through the captivating story emails the game has to offer.
  2. I need to snag the Uzi to get past the “When Money Was the Problem” email.
  3. Next, I need to get my hands on the AK-47 to trigger the “Excellent Work” email.
  4. As I continue my journey, eventually the company will send me the riveting “An Offer You Can’t Refuse” email.
  5. I just need to click on that email and hit Accept.
  6. And voilà! The Sell Your Factory option is now wide open for me!

Heads up: Even if I’ve purchased all the regular upgrades in the game, that doesn’t mean I can sell my factory just yet. I still have to wait for the company to send me their offer and actually accept it to unlock that feature.

Once I finally get to sell my factory, I’ll kick off a Prestige run and bag myself the coveted A Fresh Start achievement on Steam.

All Hidden Achievements in Can ‘Em All (4/12)

In Can ‘Em All, there are four hidden achievements waiting to be discovered, and they require specific interactions with creatures, processing equipment, and even the transport tube. Here’s how I can go about unlocking each one of them.

Not a Can

Section: Not a Can. Nearby text: Can ‘Em All has four hidden achievements that require specific interactions with creatures, processing equipment, and the transport tube. Here is how I unlock each one.

If you’re looking to snag the Not a Can achievement, all you need to do is toss a dead creature’s body straight into the transport tube instead of just sending a can through it. Trust me, it’s a quirky but satisfying way to unlock that achievement!

Fresh Meat

Section: Fresh Meat. Nearby text: To unlock the Not a Can achievement, I throw a dead creature’s body directly into the transport tube instead of sending a can through it.

Now, for the Fresh Meat achievement, my strategy is to take a creature and drop it into the grinder while it’s still alive. It’s a bit dark but the thrill of achieving that unlock makes it worth it!

Human Meat

Section: Human Meat. Nearby text: For the Fresh Meat achievement, I place a creature into the grinder while it is still alive.

Unlocking the Human Meat achievement is quite the bold move—by literally jumping into the processing machine myself, I complete this challenge in a rather adventurous way. It definitely adds a twist to the game!

Special Delivery

Section: Special Delivery. Nearby text: I unlock the Human Meat achievement by jumping into the processing machine myself.

If you want the Special Delivery achievement, here’s a fun tip: instead of putting a can in the transport tube, just leap in there yourself! It’s a wild ride and makes for a memorable achievement unlock.

Important: Even after purchasing all upgrades, you won’t unlock factory selling until you get and accept the company’s offer.

Permanent Upgrades and Prestige

In Can ‘Em All, there are four hidden achievements that can be unlocked through specific actions with creatures, processing equipment, and the transport tube. Here’s how to get each one.

Not a Can

All Permanent Damage Upgrades

Fresh Meat

  • Brute Force I (5 Gears): Oh, this one doubles my damage output! 100% more damage is just what I need to pack a punch.
  • Brute Force II (10 Gears): Want even more chaos? This skill gives another 100% damage bonus, so my foes don’t stand a chance.
  • Brute Force III (20 Gears): With this upgrade, I’m pushing the limits further and enjoy a total of a whopping 300% damage increase!
  • Brute Force IV (35 Gears): Another 100% damage boost? Yes, please! My attacks become terrifyingly powerful.
  • Starting Shockwave (15 Gears): This one’s fantastic because it increases my chance of triggering a shockwave, which can wipe out lower-tier creatures instantly, saving me precious ammo and precious seconds!
  • Lucky Hits (20 Gears): Enhancing my critical hit chance is a game-changer. Those lucky shots really do make a difference!
  • Damaged Delivery (25 Gears): A nifty little perk that ensures some creatures arrive wounded, making it so much easier when dealing with tougher opponents!
  • First Blood (30 Gears): This ability introduces a bleeding effect on my targets, which has its advantages; though, I must admit its impact isn’t game-changing for me.
  • Death Touch (30 Gears): A chance to instantly take down a creature? Yes, please! This is my secret weapon when I need a swift victory.

Human Meat

The Human Meat achievement requires you to jump into the processing machine yourself.

Special Delivery

All Permanent Profit Upgrades

Warning: Remember that both Human Meat and Special Delivery will end your day. Keep this in mind before going for these achievements.

  • Profit Boost I (5 or 10 Gears): Here’s a nice boost; it increases my profits by a full 100%! The exact cost in Gears might be unclear, but the result is definitely worth it.
  • Profit Boost II (20 Gears): Another generous 100% profit increase! They really add up, don’t they?
  • Profit Boost III: I can earn an additional 100% profit bonus, although I’m still in the dark regarding the Gears required for this upgrade.
  • Profit Boost IV (70 Gears): Yet another 100% profit increase—just what I need to maximize my earnings!
  • Grinder Speed (10 Gears): This perk speeds up the grinding process, making everything so much smoother and quicker. Efficient processing means more victories!
  • Luxury Cans (20 Gears): Who doesn’t love shiny things? This upgrade enhances the value of those posh cans I find around!
  • Shiny Shipment (25 Gears): Each creature in the very first daily shipment gets a shiny upgrade, which significantly boosts my earnings for the day!
  • Cold Storage (100 Gears): Very handy! This feature keeps any unprocessed creatures, including survivors, so I can carry them over to the next day.

To acquire all Permanent Upgrades, you’ll need around 530 Gears. Since some upgrades offer the same percentage boost at varying costs, planning is crucial to avoid overspending.

Damage upgrades significantly enhance your efficiency when taking down creatures. Some provide straightforward damage boosts, while others may offer critical hits, bleeding effects, or a chance for instant kills.

  • Brute Force I (5 Gears): Doubles damage.
  • Brute Force II (10 Gears): Another 100% damage increase.
  • Brute Force III (20 Gears): Adds an additional 100% more damage.
  • Brute Force IV (35 Gears): Grants yet another 100% damage boost.
  • Starting Shockwave (15 Gears): Enhances the chances of an instant elimination for lower-tier creatures, saving time and ammo.
  • Lucky Hits (20 Gears): Raises the critical hit probability.
  • Damaged Delivery (25 Gears): Ensures some creatures arrive injured, making them easier to deal with.
  • First Blood (30 Gears): Introduces a bleeding effect, although its impact isn’t always dependable.
  • Death Touch (30 Gears): Offers a chance for an instant kill.

One of my top picks in this category has to be Cold Storage. It really changes the game for me because I no longer have to say goodbye to all the unprocessed creatures at the end of my workday. Instead, I can carry on the next morning as if I never left them behind. That feature alone makes it a must-have for me, even if it costs 100 Gear, which I’m more than happy to invest in.

Starting Cash and Movement Upgrades

Don’t forget about those handy Permanent Upgrades! They really come in clutch by making it so much easier to restart the factory or just navigate around smoothly while I’m at it.

  • Starting Cash I: This gem gives me a nice little boost in funds right when I kick off a new factory run. Unfortunately, I don’t have the exact Gear cost for this one on hand.
  • Starting Cash II (25 Gears): With this upgrade, I receive even more starting money for my upcoming excursions.
  • Starting Cash III (50 Gears): Here’s where it gets exciting! This upgrade offers me a sizeable beginning budget—around $20,000, if I remember correctly—so I can unlock more goodies right off the bat.
  • Never Skip Leg Day (10 Gears): This one is fantastic for cutting down on stamina usage while sprinting, letting me zip around much longer without getting winded.

I really have a soft spot for the Starting Cash upgrades since they let me bypass some of that sluggish early progression when resetting my factory. With Starting Cash III under my belt, I can jumpstart my funds and get several upgrades unlocked much earlier than usual, which feels like a real win!

While Never Skip Leg Day is undoubtedly handy for getting around, I view it as a lower priority when I’m shopping for upgrades. Since achieving unlimited stamina isn’t too tough, I prefer to funnel my Gears into other enhancements that give me more bang for my buck first.

Best Permanent Upgrades to Buy First

If I’m trying to decide which Permanent Upgrades to go after first in Can ‘Em All, you bet that Cold Storage is at the very top of my list. Having all the leftover items from the previous day available instead of losing those unprocessed creatures is a game changer for me.

Once I’ve tackled Cold Storage, my strategy typically revolves around grabbing the more budget-friendly upgrades before advancing to the pricier ones. My main concern is optimizing damage, boosting profits, and enhancing production efficiency. Once that’s sorted, I then allocate my Gears toward those less predictable bonuses that might not offer as steady a benefit.

I like to hold off on grabbing upgrades like Never Skip Leg Day, Lucky Hits, First Blood, and Death Touch until I’ve already snagged a good chunk of the essential upgrades. Don’t get me wrong, these options definitely have their perks, but I find that investing in the other bonuses provides way more bang for my buck early in the game.

My Three Prestige Resets and Upgrade Order

Let me share the sequence of upgrades from my second playthrough, giving you a peek at how I spread my Gears across three separate factory resets. It’s all about fine-tuning that strategy to maximize gains!

First Prestige Reset – Just Over 125 Gears

During my initial prestige reset, I found myself with a bit more than 125 Gears to work with. Here’s how I allocated them toward upgrades:

  • Cold Storage
  • Starting Cash I
  • Brute Force I
  • Profit Boost I
  • Grinder Speed

Second Prestige Reset – 160 Gears

When I hit my second reset, I found myself with a solid stash of 160 Gears. With those in hand, I made some exciting purchases to enhance my gameplay:

  • Brute Force II and III
  • Starting Shockwave
  • Profit Boost II
  • Starting Cash II
  • Shiny Shipment
  • Luxury Cans
  • Damaged Delivery

Third Prestige Reset – Over 275 Gears

By the time I reached my third reset, I had raked in more than 275 Gears, which was such a pleasant surprise! I put those gears to good use and snagged all the remaining Permanent Upgrades. Honestly, I was amazed at how quickly my Gear earnings ramped up between these resets.

The Brute Force upgrades total 70 Gears

Important Warning Before Completing the Ending

Profit upgrades play a significant role in how much you earn and your overall efficiency in processing. These upgrades will significantly benefit your daily earnings.

  • Profit Boost I (5 or 10 Gears): Boosts your profits by 100%. Exact price may vary.
  • Profit Boost II (20 Gears): Another 100% increase.
  • Profit Boost III: Adds an additional 100% profit boost, but the cost isn’t confirmed.
  • Profit Boost IV (70 Gears): Grants yet another 100% boost.
  • Grinder Speed (10 Gears): Accelerates the grinding process for better efficiency.
  • Luxury Cans (20 Gears): Increases the value of shiny cans.
  • Shiny Shipment (25 Gears): Every creature in the initial shipment is shiny, translating to better income.
  • Cold Storage (100 Gears): Preserves any creatures left unprocessed, making them available the following day.

The Profit Boost upgrades enhance profits significantly with around 100 Gears combined. Get your cheaper upgrades out of the way first.

Prioritizing Grinder Speed early is beneficial, given that the game limits the number of objects in play. Speeding up processing frees space for new creatures.

What If I’ve Already Completed the Ending?

Cold Storage is my personal favorite upgrade. Instead of losing everything left unprocessed at day’s end, I can take care of those creatures the next morning, making it a priority despite its cost.

How to Unlock the Ending in Can ‘Em All

  • Starting Cash I: Additional funds when starting a new factory run, cost TBD.
  • Starting Cash II (25 Gears): More starting funds.
  • Starting Cash III (50 Gears): Significant funds, around $20,000 at the start.
  • Never Skip Leg Day (10 Gears): Reduces stamina costs, allowing for longer sprints.

The Starting Cash upgrades are particularly attractive since they help reduce the slower early game grind. With Starting Cash III, I can unlock things much more swiftly.

While Never Skip Leg Day is useful, I see it as a lower priority. It’s better to allocate Gears to upgrades that yield more tangible benefits first.

When choosing Permanent Upgrades to acquire first, focus on Cold Storage, as you’ll want to preserve as much as possible for future use.

After Cold Storage, aim for the cheaper damage and profit upgrades while delaying other bonuses until later.
