War and Famine are the best Dual Blades you can find in Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse, boosting your damage output with swift, combative moves. These legendary blades have a whopping 33 ATK, the highest for any pair of Dual Blades, making them an essential addition for players who favor speed over power.
When using these weapons, you’ll notice a unique combat mechanic: the final attack in a series creates an empowering area on the ground. This effect enhances your subsequent attacks and can lead to some devastating combos. Be sure to press the attack button again right after your previous strike lands on an enemy to keep the pressure on.
Trust me, mastering the offensive capabilities of these blades makes a significant impact in your combat efficiency. Head over to the Great Organ Room in Notre-Dame to locate them, and enjoy chaining your attacks to overwhelm your foes.
To locate the weapons, start by exploring the Great Organ Room in the Notre-Dame area. Look for a plaque nearby that gives a hint about a tunnel you can’t access just yet. This part can be a bit confusing, so pay attention to the surrounding details.
The clue from the plaque leads to the Stained Glass Gallery in the Sealed Scriptorium section of Notre-Dame, which is situated north of the initial hint. It’s a scenic spot that potentially catches you off guard with both its beauty and the task at hand.
Inside the gallery, you’ll find zodiac signs displayed under windows, each with a set number of candles – from 1 to 9. This puzzle is essential for moving forward, so be attentive to the details, as each sign corresponds to the number of candles and thus the order you’ll need to play them in.
Return to the Zodiac Organ and play the notes corresponding to the zodiac signs from 1 to 9. Some notes are situated a bit high, so using your air dash will be necessary to reach them all properly.
After successfully playing the ninth note, look for a green flash indicating that the previously blocked path is now accessible. Drop down the newly opened shaft and head to the right at the bottom to claim your well-earned War and Famine.
