When you hit the Field Office in Central, Dylan picks up several critical tasks that take him across Manhattan to investigate Resonant activity. Clearing these zones is essential for pushing back the Hiss and progressing through the main story.
The Evacuation Zone mission, in particular, forces you to deal with dangerous tremors emanating from the local building. It is easy to get turned around inside these claustrophobic office layouts, so keep your eyes peeled for the red Hiss corruption trails.
Before you commit to this run, make sure your loadout is optimized for close-quarters combat since most of the fighting happens in cramped hallways. Checking your current weapon mods for extra damage against Hiss corruption helps significantly during those frantic floor-clearing sequences.
Strange, rhythmic tremors are rocking the Evac building, and it is up to you to figure out what is causing them. Investigating this site is mandatory to stop the Hiss from gaining more ground.

Reach The Evacuation Zone
You will find the Evacuation Zone sitting east of Central. Follow the signage through the checkpoint to reach the area.
Zoe will meet you once you arrive and point you toward the source of those mysterious tremors.
Find The Source Of The Tremors
Head left and climb the platform to your right. Watch your step around the massive hole in the ground; that is the Sinkhole, which you will need to revisit much later.
Looking straight ahead, the building is clearly infested with the Hiss, and you will feel another tremor pulse. It is obvious the source is located within that structure.
Your objective is to reach the eastern building and get inside to put a stop to whatever the Hiss is doing.
Unblock The Hiss Barrier
A Hiss barrier blocks the main entrance, so follow the red trails to locate the three Hiss orbs and destroy them.
The first orb is sitting right outside the building, making it impossible to miss.
The second orb is positioned on the rooftop, located just northwest of the Evac Building.
The third orb leads you to a garage situated south of the building.
To unlock that garage, grab a charge from the Power Core Station and deposit it into the slot on the rooftop across from it.
Track the yellow cable to find the cell that needs charging, then bring it back to the station to restore power.
Go Inside The Evac Building
Once those three Hiss orbs are destroyed, the entrance barrier dissipates.
You will find several fallen FBC agents at the entrance; you can report their status to Zoe later.
Navigate The 12th Floor
Take the elevator to the 12th floor. During the ride, Dylan experiences a flashback to his P6 cell days, though he manages to regain focus quickly.
Exit the elevator and hang a right, following the path marked by the fallen agents.
You will enter a large room swarming with enemies, so clear them out before looting the crates on the upper west side.
Move through the blue-lit door and climb the scaffolding to reach the upper floor, where you can snag a Health Upgrade.
Dylan will have another brief flashback while passing through the corridor filled with corrupted victims.
Exit the door and climb the stairs until you encounter two FBC agents, which concludes the current sequence.
A Hiss barrier now blocks your path back to the elevator.
Enter the room to the left, track down the node, destroy it, and fight your way back to the elevator.
Navigate The 15th Floor
Ride the elevator to the 15th floor while Dylan’s visions continue to play out.
When you reach the door near the Central Executive, interact with it to snap back to reality.
Proceed through the hallway filled with Hiss-corrupted entities and keep pushing forward until you hear a voice.
Dylan will experience another flashback, this time involving Arish sounding frustrated over the loss of his best agents.
As you regain control, keep moving until you reach the Hiss-infested door.
Approaching the door triggers another vision.
You will enter a red-tinted, pure Hiss space with floating, corrupted civilians.
You will find Arish alive at the end of the space; speak with him to proceed.
Convince him to return to the FBC Field Office at Central.
Get Arish Out Alive
Backtrack toward the elevator, but prepare for the doors to jam.
Arish will use a trick from his time in Maintenance to force the doors open.
A tremor stops the lift at the 15th floor, requiring you to destroy all nearby Hiss nodes.
Grab the Level 2 Keycard Arish gives you to access the emergency stairs.
Unlock the door and return to the main room to clear the remaining nodes.
Destroying the nodes clears the path for the elevator, though you will be hit by one final flashback.
This memory shows the moment the Hiss first breached the Oldest House.
Defeat the final wave of enemies, then backtrack to the elevator to reach the ground floor.
Arish’s Briefing
Head to the Field Office in Central to check on Arish after the escape.
Since the tremors are still active, Arish suggests a new plan.
The team wants to weaponize a Resonant Entity corpse recovered from Downtown to fight the Hiss.
Go to the bottom of the Sinkhole and install probe relays to prepare the weapon.
You also need to reroute power from the city grid using the subway stations.
This opens up the Power Lines and Into the Sinkhole quests, which can be done in any order.
Keep an eye on your surroundings while navigating the subway; it is easy to get tunnel vision when the Hiss start spawning behind you.
