Mycelarium is packed with magical mushrooms that enhance your game experience, offering effects like root expansion and speed boosts. Make sure you have enough food and water before digging around for these hidden gems.

All Magical Mushroom Locations and Effects

Throughout my journey in Mycelarium, I located these mushrooms scattered across three distinct underground levels. Some are cleverly hidden within stone labyrinths, tricking the unprepared explorer into wasting resources. Always keep abundant water and food handy when venturing below to make the most of your digging efforts.

Mushroom Locations and Appearance

Water Shroom (Blue)

The Water Shroom was my first magical mushroom find. It’s located in the first underground level with brown soil, making it an easy catch early on. This mushroom sends roots in random directions from existing nodes in mycelium, allowing it to spread effectively across the terrain.

Flora Shroom (Red)

This red mushroom with a striking pointed cap can be found on the second underground level, in areas where the soil transitions to grey. It’s cleverly hidden inside a stone labyrinth, so be prepared with resources for digging. Its main benefit is that it permanently scares away squirrels, a handy feature if you’re tired of their interference.

Fauna Shroom (Green)

Also located on the second underground level in the grey soil region, the Fauna Shroom boasts a rounded, inside-out appearance. Similar to the Flora Shroom, this one grows within a stone labyrinth. Its effect reduces the cost of building mushrooms by a generous 25%, making mushroom construction more affordable once this benefit is unlocked.

Light Mushroom (Yellow) The Light Mushroom is a deeper find, appearing on the third underground level where the soil changes to red. You’ll typically spot it growing near or within a stone labyrinth, distinguished by its sharp, pine-like caps. This powerful mushroom boosts both production and building speed by an impressive 50%, expediting your progression once obtained.

Cosmos Shroom (Purple)

So, there I was, deep in the first underground level, and guess what I stumbled upon? The elusive Cosmos Shroom! You’ll typically find it nestled in the rich, brown soil area. It’s quite different from the Water Shroom, as this enchanting purple mushroom often keeps itself hidden within a twisty stone labyrinth. You really have to do some thorough tunnel exploring to uncover its hiding spot.

Make sure you stock up on enough water and food before you set off on your adventure to find the Cosmos Shroom. It has this magical ability to make my mycelium glow brightly, and if I need to dim that light for any reason, I can easily do so by tapping the F key. Plus, every now and then, my fungal hyphae sparkle with a lovely purple hue, adding to the charm of it all!

Flora Shroom (Red)

If you’re on the hunt for mushrooms, look no further than the Flora Shroom! This vibrant red mushroom, with its unique pointed tip, pops up on the second underground level where the soil takes on a grey tone. Just like the Cosmos, the Flora Shroom also prefers the cozy confines of a stone labyrinth in that area.

The Flora Shroom is not just a pretty face; its effect is super handy because it scares squirrels away for good! Before you dive into the labyrinth to track it down, I can’t stress enough the importance of having plenty of water and food on hand—trust me, you’ll thank yourself later as you dig through those extra tunnels!

As my exploration continued, I was thrilled to discover the Fauna Shroom also in that second underground level, sharing its space with the Flora Shroom in the same grey soil area. This chunky green mushroom often surprises players with its unusual rounded cap that looks like it’s been turned inside out, making it easy to spot among the stones.
