Remothered: Red Nun’s Legacy Walkthrough – Remove the Plant Blocking the Door
Solve the Pillar Riddle
As you proceed, you’ll receive a new objective to tackle the riddle. Look for a note nearby — reading it will give you key insights. Head downward and activate your Retrocognition ability to reveal a memory that explains the riddle, providing the clues you need to succeed.
The solution is straightforward. Start with the far-left pillar: a woman will appear; press its button once. Next, skip the second pillar and move to the third one, pressing the button when a skeleton appears. Then, engage the button on the second pillar when a snake shows up. Lastly, when a heart appears on the fourth pillar, press its corresponding button. Follow these steps, and the riddle will be solved.
After solving it, head onward until you discover a metronome. This interaction will teleport you back to the room with the birdcage, giving you another objective.
Alright, so the first step here is to take that fluid you’ve got and apply it to the plant. This action will clear the obstruction that’s blocking the door, allowing you to venture onward into the next area. You’re really making progress!
Solve the Pillar Riddle
Inspect the Paintings in the Hall of Wonders
You’re back in the Compass Rose Room (also known as the Hall of Wonders), so keep your exploration focused here. On the left side of the room, you’ll see a painting depicting a pyramid. Engage with it and explore the area on the right side to uncover a hidden safe.
Investigate the Mural in the Hammam
Next, make your way to the bathroom where you first encountered the stalker. This is also the area where you previously needed to hide, next to the room with the first metronome.
In this bathroom, inspect the left-side mural. Interact with it and then tap the tile three times to receive a doorknob as your reward!
As you head back, expect the stalker to crash through the roof, initiating a chase. It’s likely you’ll get hit, but dodging to the left can help. A quick strike against her can provide a better chance of escape.
Run and hide or make your way toward the library. You’ll find a door near the painting, so use the doorknob to enter.
Once you’ve worked your way through those steps, congratulations! You’ve unraveled the puzzle. After you’ve cleared it, make your way deeper into the space, and you’ll come across a metronome. When you interact with this little gadget, it’ll transport you back to the room with the birdcage, and get ready because you’ll be given a fresh objective to tackle.
Use Retrocognition to Find the Memories in the Villa
Next up, it’s time to return to the Compass Rose Room. Once you step inside, just head straight and take the path on your left side. You might remember that during our journey to the Compass Rose Room, we didn’t encounter the stalker, and fingers crossed, you’ll likely have the same luck on your exploration.
As you investigate this area, keep an eye out for a box filled with bandages. Trust me, you’re going to want to snag those for healing purposes later on. To the left of that box, you’ll spot some items scattered around. This is your cue to activate the Retrocognition ability to reveal a hidden memory. It’s all about piecing together the story!
After unlocking that memory, turn to the left, and you’ll discover a chair leg tucked away inside a cabinet. Make sure to pick it up; however, just a heads-up, if you haven’t used your bandages yet, the chair leg will take their place in your inventory. So, choose wisely!
Now, make your way out through the left exit, but I should mention that on one of our playthroughs, we ran into the stalker here. In contrast, she was absent in another run. If she does show up, you can block her upcoming attack and counter with the chair leg for a brief stun. However, if you’re feeling quick and confident, you could even strike her first, which might save the chair leg for longer use. Just remember, it’s all about timing and strategy!
As you make a dash for it, don’t forget to snag the scissors that are waiting for you on the left side. Keep sprinting, and look for a good spot to duck out of sight. You’ll need to make your way back to the Compass Rose Room, since there are additional memories that are just waiting to be unlocked. You’ll find two more memories in this area. The first one is located on the north side as you step into the room, while the second one is conveniently to its left. Take your time to open both memories and, once you do, you’ll be rewarded with a new objective. Happy exploring!
Your next stop should be the library. Over on the right side, across from the staircase, you’ll spot a painting that catches your eye. Go ahead and interact with it, then tap into your Retrocognition ability to unveil a memory. Doing this will not only trigger a new objective but also help you complete the task of using Retrocognition to dig up all the memories hidden around the villa. It’s a real rewarding moment when you activate that memory!
Inspect the Paintings in the Hall of Wonders
Now, it’s time to make your way back to the Compass Rose Room, which is also known as the Hall of Wonders, so there’s no need to wander off elsewhere. Once you’re in, look to the left side of the room and you’ll notice a painting that features a striking pyramid. Give that painting a good interaction, then switch your focus to the area on the right side — this is where you’ll unlock a hidden safe. Who knows what treasures await inside?
Investigate the Mural in the Hammam
Next up, you’re headed to the bathroom — yes, the very same spot where you had your first encounter with a stalker character. It’s quite an intriguing place, especially since it’s where you had to stealthily hide earlier, right next to the room that houses the first metronome. Keep your wits about you as you go back there; it’ll set the stage for what’s ahead!
Once you’re there, keep an eye out for a mural on the left side of the room. This is the mural referenced in the memory, so go ahead and interact with it. After that, you’ll need to press the tile three times in succession to progress. Once you’ve got that down, you’ll be rewarded with a shiny doorknob — just what you need to keep the adventure going!
As you make your way back, brace yourself because the stalker is going to crash through the roof, launching you into a thrilling chase sequence! She’ll be hot on your heels, and there’s a good chance you might get grazed. To improve your odds, make a quick left to try and evade her grasp. However, here’s a pro tip: if you can land a blow on the stalker before she gets a chance to swing at you, you’ll have an easier time breaking free. Timing is everything, so go for a quick hit and then make your escape!
When you find yourself in a tight spot, you can either make a run for it or head straight towards the library. Near the stairs and an intriguing painting, there’s a door waiting for you. Just grab the doorknob, give it a twist to unlock it, and step inside to see what’s in store.
Find the Safe Combination
Once you’re in the room, take a moment to check out all the interactive goodies around you. You’ll find an item called the Slides Wheel just sitting on the table, looking all interesting. But that’s not all! There are also some handy items like bandages scattered about, as well as a melee weapon that you’ll definitely want to collect. Make your way to the northeast corner of the room, and you’ll spot the melee weapon just waiting for you to pick it up.
After gathering all the essentials, it’s time to make your way back to the library. Keep your eyes peeled for the projector that’s set up there. You’re going to want to insert the Slides Wheel into it. As you do this, the projector will spring to life, displaying a succession of images that are key to your progress. And yes, there’s a note nearby that provides important hints on how to figure out the safe combination you’ll need later on.
Now comes the fun part! Your task is to count a few specific things—let’s start with the birds and flowers. Next up is counting moths and flames, and after that, you’ll need to note the fish and the leaves. Just a quick reminder: make sure you’re counting the objects in pairs from each category and not mixing the numbers. So it’s not just about wondering how many moths there are plus flames separately; each set needs to stay together for you to get the right combination.
When you’ve wrapped up your counting, the magical numbers you’re looking for are 73, 31, and 52. Input this combination into the safe, and voilà it will open for you! Inside, you’ll be treated to a note and the Ashmann Family Ring, both of which might just prove to be quite important to your journey ahead.
Use the Ashmann Family Ring to Unlock the Front Door and Get Out
Use the Ashmann Family Ring to Unlock the Front Door and Get Out
Exit the Hall of Wonders and turn left. Move forward slightly to notice a locked door—use the Ashmann Family Ring to unlock it.
Once it’s unlocked, proceed outside to receive a new objective!
With the safe successfully opened, it’s time to make your grand exit from the villa. Go ahead and head towards the exit, and get ready to receive your next mission! There’s always more to explore, but first things first.
Look for Angelo
Find the Source of the Music
That mysterious music is coming from the Compass Rose Room, so head there. As you approach, a cutscene will play involving the stalker, and you need to make a run for it as soon as it ends.
Find a spot to hide until she stops searching. Once it’s clear, return to the Compass Rose Room and interact with the metronome.
This will unlock your new ability, Secrets in the Mirrors, allowing you to reveal hidden secrets through reflections. Upon interacting with the metronome, you’ll find yourself back in the same room.
Find the Source of the Music
Complete the Riddle Puzzle
This riddle will resemble the last one you encountered but with important changes. Now, you’ll be incorporating your new ability, Secrets in the Mirrors, to progress through.
Head over to the puzzle area, where you’ll spot a mirror on the opposite side. Utilize your ability to examine the reflections of the pillars.
Wait for the pillars to rotate, and when the camera zooms in on a specific one, press its button to halt its rotation. Focus on one pillar at a time for better clarity on timing.
Repeat this process with all four pillars, and watch as the puzzle resolves itself.
If you notice any pillar not appearing in the mirror, press its button to let it rotate. When zoomed in, pause it by pressing the corresponding button to continue your progress. After completing the puzzle, collect the necklace from the box and press onward.
Explore further, uncover more secrets, and finally, use the necklace on the nun’s statue to trigger a cutscene. This will lead you back to the Compass Rose Room, marking the conclusion of this segment of Remothered: Red Nun’s Legacy.
Find a cozy hiding spot and just chill out for a bit until she decides to stop her search. Once you’re sure she’s given up the hunt, make your way back into the Compass Rose Room and give that metronome a little interaction.
You’ll soon unlock a pretty cool ability called Secrets in the Mirrors. This nifty skill lets you uncover hidden secrets lurking within mirror reflections. Just after you’ve fiddled with the metronome, you’ll find yourself right back in the same room as before, ready for your next adventure.
Use the New Power, Secrets in the Mirrors
Now, let’s put that fresh ability to good use! Check out the mirror in the room. Look closely at the reflection of the bed – it’ll reveal a captivating secret waiting to be discovered. You’ll spot a photograph nestled on the bed. Don’t forget to use the Retrocognition ability on it to dive into a fading memory that it holds.
When you’re done unraveling the past, make your way back to the mirror. Time to explore again with that shiny new ability by checking out the reflection of the door this time.
Once you’ve had your fun with the mirror, step through the door and keep moving straight ahead. You’ll soon reach a fork in the path where two routes split off in different directions. Look to the north, and you’ll find a door waiting for you. Interact with that door to receive a brand new objective.
Find the Missing Tile to Unlock the Door
From the door, take a right turn until you spot another mirror. Use your Secrets in the Mirrors ability here to check its reflection. Over to the right, you’ll notice a piece of paper, and on the left, there’s a flickering candle calling your attention.
First things first, give that piece of paper a friendly interaction. After that, take a good look at the area above the candle. You’ll spot a nifty little compartment hiding a key. Grab that key and make your way to the door that has a nameplate saying Suor Lindsay. Time to unlock that door and see what’s waiting for you on the other side!
After you’ve unlocked the door, step inside the room and direct your attention to the northern part. Here’s where your Retrocognition ability comes into play, helping you dig up a new memory. Once you’ve soaked in the new info, it’s time to retrace your steps back to the spot where you picked up the key. Hang tight because you’ll find that elusive missing tile known as the Jesus Figurine right there!
Now, it’s time to take that Jesus Figurine and use it on the door to swing it wide open. Step through the doorway and don’t forget to activate your Retrocognition ability again to reveal yet another memory. Keep pushing onward, and you’ll encounter a new riddle puzzle that’ll challenge your wits—are you ready for this one?
Complete the Riddle Puzzle
This new puzzle might remind you of the last one you tackled, with just a few tweaks here and there. But don’t be fooled—the mechanics have shifted a bit! You now have to utilize your new Secrets in the Mirrors ability to navigate through this challenge and keep on progressing.
Make your way down to the puzzle area. When you reach the other side, you’ll notice a mirror waiting patiently for you. Don’t forget to use your shiny new ability on that mirror to check out the reflections of the surrounding pillars—it’s all part of the fun!
If nothing seems to happen at first, just hang tight and wait for the pillars to start rotating. Once you see the view zoom in on a particular pillar, that’s your cue! Hit the button that corresponds to that pillar to stop its rotation. Remember, tackle one pillar at a time; it’ll help you manage the timing like a pro!
Just follow the same pattern for each of the four pillars, and before you know it, you’ll have cracked the puzzle!
If you notice that one of the pillars is missing from the mirror’s view, don’t fret! Simply press its button and allow it to rotate. Keep your eyes peeled on its reflection, and as soon as the view zooms in on that pillar, hit the corresponding button to stop it. Just keep at it until the puzzle is wrapped up nicely!
As soon as you’ve wrapped up the puzzle, go ahead and snag that gorgeous necklace from the box and keep pressing on through the journey.
Keep pushing ahead, unraveling the mysteries that unfold on your path, and remember to use that necklace on the statue of the nun. This will set off a captivating cutscene, and you’ll find yourself back in the cozy Compass Rose Room. With this, we’re wrapping up part two of our journey through Remothered: Red Nun’s Legacy.
