You have made it to the Cable Car Station, but now you need to track down five bells to get the system running. The first bell is hidden deep inside the Sheriff’s Station in the Riverside District.
It is easy to get turned around in these streets, and wasting precious resources on unnecessary fights will only make the later encounters tougher. Keep your eyes peeled for hidden notes and keys, as you will need every advantage to survive this sector.
Before you commit to the station, make sure you have your Camera ready. You will need it to capture specific clues that aren’t just for show—they are the keys to unlocking critical doors and safes.

Reaching the Sheriff’s Station
Head through the gate east of Market Street, just past the Quiet Hour Cafe, to find a bridge crowded with abandoned cars. Keep pushing forward until you spot a figure standing still; go ahead and talk to them to get your bearings.
Continue your trek east until you hit the Riverside district boundary. Make sure to stop at the Phone Booth to secure a save point before moving further into the area.
Take the stairs located to the left of that Phone Booth and grab the Riverside Map from the notice board. You will notice a door to the right, but it is locked from the other side, so ignore it for now.
Head back to the Phone Booth and travel east until you reach the Junkyard. Look for the entrance to a Storage Unit and step inside to search for supplies.
Inspect the Repair Kit Note on the left table, then collect the Spare Parts and Duct Tape nearby. You can combine these two components in your menu to craft a functional Repair Kit.
Continue moving east until you hit a locked gate leading north, then push past it to find Dana’s Auto Repair Shop. Once inside the shop, head through the door right next to the desk to reach the back room.
Smash the padlock on the door to the right to find a refreshing Coffee Pot. Sip it to boost your Maximum Stamina, which you will definitely appreciate later.
Go back to the front office, dash past the enemy, and grab the Gate Key from the table on the far side of the door. Keep in mind that two more enemies will spawn immediately; you can either stand and fight or just bolt for the exit.
Use the Gate Key to unlock the path to the left and head north. Keep moving left from this point until you arrive at the Silver Pines Sheriff’s Department, where you will find the main entrance locked and requiring a code.
Obtaining the Flashlight
Go all the way west and break the padlocked gate to create a handy shortcut back to the Riverside entrance. Navigate into the Parking Lot situated behind the Sheriff’s Station to find a Police Car with its lights still flashing.
Interact with the car to inspect the broken radio, which is stuck on a specific frequency. Use your Camera to photograph this frequency; trust me, you will need that image very soon.
Return to the main street and walk east, bypassing the Sheriff’s Station until you spot the road heading north toward the Gas Station. Skip the path on the right for now since it leads to the Route 13 Exit, which is way too dark to traverse safely.
Stick to the left to reach the Wing Oil Gas Station , then head around to the back of the building. You will see a shutter propped open just enough to see a Flashlight inside, but it is just out of reach.
Interact with the Fusebox to restore power to the building. Head back to the front door, which should now be powered up and ready to open automatically.
Snag the Bathroom Key from the rack just inside the entrance, then proceed through the door on the right. You will need to take out an enemy here before you can reach the back office.
Find the Phone to save your progress and talk to the girl leaning against the cabinet to finish her dialogue. Finally, push through the door on the left and head to the back of the workshop to collect the Flashlight.
Obtaining the Sheriff’s Station Door Code
As you turn to leave, the door will slam shut and two enemies will rush in. Take them down quickly, then head outside through the back shutter to use your Bathroom Key on the Bathroom door.
Speak to the man in the occupied stall, then use your Boxcutter to slice through the fabric on the right. Doing this reveals a Hip Bag, which is perfect for bumping up your inventory capacity by two slots.
Head back to the main street. While there is a door to the west leading to the Sewers, it is mostly a dead end containing only a Turkey’s Crown and a door that only opens from the other side.
Continue east until you reach the Exit to Route 13, and use your newly acquired Flashlight to see in the dark. Watch out for the crawling creature; if you get too close, it will spray poison, so use your revolver to take it out from a distance.
Look up to spot a hanging wind chime, shoot it down, and grab the fourth Memento Vessel Shard. If you collect all four, you can combine them to unlock an extra Memento Slot.
Approach the truck on the right to access its radio. Match the frequency to the image of the broken radio you photographed in the Police Car, and the deputy will provide the station code: 1715.
Head back to the Sheriff’s Station and punch in 1715 to unlock the front door. The Reception room on the left is locked for now, so head right and snap a photo of the picture on the wall—you will need this evidence later.
Move through the right door, grab the Deputies Note from the table, and enter the Sheriff’s Office. Locate the Basement Key inside the wall Lockbox and check the Sheriff’s Office Book Note to get a hint for the safe, though you won’t be able to open it just yet.
Before you leave, head to the room on the north side to find another Phone and save your progress. This is the last safe spot for a while, so don’t skip it.
Exploring the Basement
Talk to the Sheriff standing near the North Wing entrance, then head down the stairs on the right to reach the Basement. Unlock the gate with your Basement Key and head west, keeping an eye out for the Interrogation Room Booking Sheet Note on the table.
You will find Deputy Roberts trapped in the Interrogation Room. He will offer to give you Eddie Velvet’s Interrogation Tape if you can find the code to unlock his door.
Continue west to find the storage section and the Archive. Check the table in the storage area for the Safe Manual Page, which provides the necessary steps to eventually crack that Sheriff’s Room safe.
Grab the North Wing Key from the rack, then take out the enemy hiding behind the door on the right. You can crawl through the vent to reach a hidden room and shoot down another wind chime for a Memento Vessel Shard.
Head into the Archive on the left to snap a photo of another important picture and grab the Incident Report Note from the filing cabinet. Once you have those items, head all the way to the right to enter the Armory/Holding Cells passage and prepare for what comes next.
The direct path to the Holding Cells is blocked, so make your way into the Armory instead to continue your investigation.
the game Sheriff’s Station entrance gate located in the Riverside district
Head right and interact with the truck. You’ll be able to access the radio.
Set it up the same way as the broken radio you found in the Police Car earlier. Check the image above for the solution.
The deputy will give you the code for the front door of the Sheriff’s Dept: 1715.
Return to the Sheriff’s Station and use the code to head inside.
The door to the Reception on the left is locked from the other side. Go right and check the photo on the wall. Take a picture of it using your Camera. This will come in handy later.
Head through the door on the right. Grab the Deputies Note from the table, then head inside the Sheriff’s Office.
You’ll find the Basement Key inside the Lockbox on the wall. There’s a Safe on the right. Check the Sheriff’s Office Book Note on the table to the left.
This is a clue for unlocking the Safe, but that comes much later.
Leave the office and go right. The door to the north leads you to a room with a Phone. Enter the room and save your progress before moving on.
Exploring the Basement
Leave the room and go right. You’ll find the Sheriff standing by the entrance to the North Wing. Speak with him. After the conversation, head into the Basement down the stairs to the right.
Unlock the gate using the Basement Key and continue forward. The path to the north leads to the Armory/Holding Cells area. For now, just go west. Grab the Interrogation Room Booking Sheet Note from the table up ahead.
You’ll find Deputy Roberts locked inside the Interrogation Room. Speak with him. He’ll ask you to free him. In exchange, he’ll give you Eddie Velvet’s Interrogation Tape. There’s a panel next to the door. You’ll need the code to set Roberts free.
Keep heading west until you reach a storage section. The door to the left leads into the Archive. Enter the storage section first.
Go left first inside the room and take the Safe Manual Page from the table. It holds the instruction for opening the Safe in the Sheriff’s Room.
Grab the North Wing Key from the key rack. There’s a door to the right with an enemy on the other side. Take out the enemy.
Shoot the vent above you to the right and use it to reach the next room. You’ll find a wind chime here that you can break for a Memento Vessel Shard.
Leave the room and then head into the Archives on the left. You’ll find another photo here. Take a picture of this one as well. You’ll find the Incident Report Note inside the filing cabinet on the left.
With that done, go all the way to the right until you reach the entrance of the Armory/Holding Cells. Enter the passage
The path to the Holding Cells is blocked. Enter the Armory.
