Steal An Egg is a Roblox tycoon simulation built around a simple but competitive idea: train your character, travel through dangerous biomes, steal valuable Eggs, and bring them back to your base before another player or guardian takes them from you. You can collect a total of 114 Pets in this title, who will be responsible for producing income for your upgrades.
Playing the game feels like a mix of exhilarating treasure hunting and strategic resource management. You’ll find yourself racing against time—and other players—to secure those Eggs, often in the shadow of guardians that can thwart your plans. Many new players underestimate the importance of speed and can easily lose eggs they worked hard to steal.
Before diving in, it’s smart to focus on upgrading your speed early on. Make sure to check out the treadmill at your base as soon as you can, as this will set a strong foundation for your success.
Here is everything you need to know before getting started in Steal An Egg.
Everything to know about Steal An Egg
The main objective is to steal Eggs from different biomes and safely return them to your Pen or base . Eggs appear around the map, and you can pick one up by pressing E on your device.
Once you successfully bring an Egg back to your safe zone, you can place it at your base and wait for it to hatch. The game takes place across a narrow map containing multiple biomes. Each biome has a guardian that prevents players from stealing their beloved Eggs.

Biomes and speed requirements
There are currently 12 biomes in Steal An Egg:
Note that entering a biome without meeting its recommended speed isn’t advisable since its guardian can catch you and fling you away. Besides, any Egg you were carrying will also be dropped.
How to increase your speed
Speed is one of the most important stats in Steal An Egg because it determines which areas you can safely explore. You can increase your speed by training on the treadmill at your base.
The treadmill can also be upgraded. Higher treadmill upgrades give you more steps, allowing you to train your speed more efficiently. Your base also has a separate upgrade system, but upgrading the base does not directly increase your speed. Instead, it increases the number of pets you can store.
Training on the treadmill does not have to be completely boring. The treadmill includes a built-in Reels feature where you can scroll through short videos while training. You can also comment on videos and share them with other Roblox companions through a link. This gives the treadmill a unique feature that makes long training sessions less repetitive.
Eggs
Eggs are the main items you are trying to collect in Steal an Egg. They spawn throughout the different biomes and can be picked up before being carried back to your safe zone.
Once an Egg reaches your base, you can place it on your pen and wait for it to hatch. Different eggs have different hatch times, with some rare eggs taking hours to hatch. Sizes and mutations can also affect how long an egg takes to hatch.
The important thing to remember is that rare Eggs are not restricted to the highest-level biomes. A highly valuable or Secret one can sometimes appear in a lower-level area. When this happens, the competition can become intense because multiple players may rush toward the same Egg.
It must be noted that Eggs do not remain on the map forever. The spawns are reset every five minutes. After this period ends, the map temporarily closes for 13 seconds before players can enter again. This means you need to pay attention to the reset cycle if you’re hunting for a specific rare egg.
Guardians
Every biome has a guardian that protects its Eggs. They act as a speed check. If your speed is too low for the area, the guardian can catch you and ragdoll you away.
Getting caught while carrying an Egg also causes you to drop the egg, giving other players a chance to steal it. This makes speed especially important once you move beyond the Forest.
Baseball bats
Steal An Egg also gives players baseball bats that can be used to interfere with other players. For example, if another player is carrying an Egg you wish to have, you can hit them with your bat to trigger a ragdoll effect and fling the player away.
This can make the difference between successfully stealing an Egg and losing it to another player.
Bear traps
Bear traps are another way to stop other players from escaping with valuable Eggs. You can place a bear trap on the ground. If another player walks over it, they become trapped for five seconds. The trapped player will also drop the Egg they were carrying. You can then pick up the dropped item and escape.
Bear traps can therefore be particularly useful around areas where players frequently fight over rare eggs.
Trails
Trails are both cosmetic items and useful upgrades. When you move around with a Trail equipped, it leaves an animated effect behind your character. Besides aesthetics, it also provides a speed boost. There is a dedicated Shop where you can purchase them,
There are currently 12 Trails in this title, ranging from Common to Divine rarity. Because speed determines which biomes you can access, Trails can really be useful if used correctly.
Pets
Pets are one of the main progression systems in Steal An Egg. You obtain them by successfully hatching Eggs and can then place them in your base, where they generate income over time.
There are currently 114 pets to collect across the different biomes. Each biome features pets that match its environment, such as prehistoric-themed pets in the Prehistoric biome and lava- or magma-themed pets in the Volcano biome.
The amount of income a pet generates can vary depending on factors such as its size and mutations. This means two pets of the same type may not necessarily be equally valuable. Collecting pets with better sizes and mutations can therefore help you increase your base’s earnings.
If you get a pet you no longer need, you can sell it at the Sell Shop for money or trade it with other players.
