Developing the Photo Roll is crucial for your next steps in the game. You’ll need two specific items to get started — the Red Light Bulb and the Photo Paper .

To obtain the Red Light Bulb , go to the stairwell past the Dining Room Film Set on Floor 2 . Work your way to the top and at the boarded-up door, use the Cold Chisel .

Strike the chisel with a melee weapon until the planks fall off, then head through the door. Continue down the hallway, moving a shelf out of the way to find the Final Revelation Scene Film Set. Use the White Light Bulb from your inventory to get the Red Light Bulb from the blood-soaked table.

As you try to leave, prepare for a locked door leading to a cutscene. This triggers a combat section where you’ll face waves of monsters trying to break in through the windows. These enemies go down quickly; just ensure they’re not overwhelming you!

Once the fight’s over, you can finally leave the room!

This leads you to the Final Revelation Scene Film Set. Stand near the blood-soaked table and use the White Light Bulb in your inventory to get the Red Light Bulb.

As you try to exit through the door, you’ll find that it’s locked, triggering a cutscene.

This will trigger a combat section as you have to survive against hordes of monsters barging in through the windows. These enemies are weak and will die to a single hit from your Pipe. As long as you don’t let them overwhelm you, you should be fine.

You can leave the room once the fight is over.

Backtrack to the Photo Developing Studio on Floor 1 through the Red Door . You should already have the Photo Paper and Photo Roll . Turn on the lamp using the Red Light Bulb to develop photos.

To develop a photo, follow these steps:

If you’ve been following our walkthrough, you should already have the Photo Paper and the Photo Roll in your inventory. The Photo Paper can be found in the Screenwriting Class through the Blue Door on Floor 1 of the Film School. For the Photo Roll, check the floor in the room outside the Movie Theater.

Follow the steps below to develop the photo:

  • Use the Photo Roll near the northern table to obtain the Negative.
  • Use the Negative with the Photo Enlarger.
  • Use the Photo Paper at the Photo Enlarger to create a Printed Photo.
  • Finally, use the Printed Photo at the containers to trigger a cutscene and complete this stage.

After watching Ivan get dragged away, follow the blood trail to the upper floor of the Film School’s Stairwell . However, the top door is locked.

Return to Ivan’s Apartment on Floor 3. Near the empty photo frame on the right bedside cabinet, use the Photo from your inventory to unlock the drawer containing the Hexagonal Stone.

Next, return to the locked door in the Film School and converse with Sanguis, who waits at the door.

Unlock the door afterwards and save your progress at the Save Point inside. Head towards the end of the hall, interact with the curtains to trigger a cutscene, leading into your next boss battle.

The drawer unlocks, and you’ll find the white Hexagonal Stone inside.

Return to the locked door up the stairs in the Film School. Speak to Sanguis, now waiting by the door.

Unlock the door and head inside after the conversation. There’s a Save Point just past the door. Save your progress here.

Then head to the end of the hall and interact with the curtains to trigger a cutscene. After this cutscene, you’ll enter the toughest boss you’ve faced till now.

The boss fight against Vitria consists of multiple phases. The initial phase features a monster with four flailing tentacles. Watch out for its three main moves:

First Phase

  • Shooting a tentacle directly ahead.
  • Launching an upward charge attack.
  • Shooting four tentacles diagonally based on its facing direction.

To succeed, get close enough to bait the vertical attack, allowing you to strike with your Pipe right afterward. Hit the boss 12 times to proceed to phase two.

In the second phase, Vitria will appear inside the mirror. You cannot attack her directly since the red sigil renders her invulnerable. Keep dodging her attacks while looking for tentacles summoned from below, which are visible only in the mirror’s reflection.

Second Phase

During the second phase, Vitria appears inside the mirror. But you can’t attack her directly. On top of that, the red sigil under the boss makes it impervious to your attacks.

Attack the tentacle until it stuns the boss, then shift your focus back to Vitria. Use your Revolver for maximum efficiency in cracking the mirror. Once cracked fully, enter the portal to start phase three.

Attack the tentacle, figuring out its location by looking at the mirror. The boss will get stun-locked as you attack. Keep hitting the tentacle until the boss gets stunned.

When the boss is stunned, keep hitting it. Cracks will start appearing on a part of the mirror above you. Keep hitting the boss until the mirror cracks fully. You’ll want to use your Revolver for this step, as hitting it with a Pipe can give the boss enough time to recover.

Once the mirror is fully cracked, a portal appears on it. Head through the portal to trigger the third phase.

In the mirror dimension, controls are reversed, making navigation tricky. Focus on dodging until Vitria summons more tentacles, then strike them down. Repeat your earlier strategies until you crack the entire mirror. Just keep moving to avoid one-hit KO attacks!

The third phase of the battle takes place in the mirror dimension where your controls are fully reversed. This can make it difficult to navigate the area. Luckily, this phase is pretty straightforward.

Simply run around the arena until Vitria summons the tentacles from the ground. Then strike the tentacles enough times until you’re kicked back outside.

You’ll now have to repeat the steps above two more times until the entire mirror is cracked. If you die, you’ll start from the end of the third phase.

Over time, Vitria will summon more and more tentacles from the ground, but the steps are pretty much the same. Since the boss kills you in one hit, make sure you’re always moving around during the fight.

After the battle, talk to Sanguis to receive the Iron Key and Lapis Fictus Pill . Use the key to unlock the door on your left.

Save your game in the next room and move north into the Film Set. Interact with Ivan, let the cutscenes play out, and brace for a shocking twist as Julia gets trapped in her own Desiderium.

Head through the door on the left, unlocking it with the Iron Key.

Save your progress in the next room and head through the door to the north to enter the Film Set.

You’ll find Ivan lying on the floor up ahead. Interact with him and let the events play out. There will be several cutscenes after this.

It eventually ends with Julia getting trapped in her own Desiderium as Sanguis and Ivan’s betrayal is revealed.

Escaping Sanguis

After Sanguis transforms, it’s time to escape. Start running east as he lunges at you, and if you hit a mannequin roadblock, bait him to break them.

Avoid the spikes and guide him to the retracting blade trap. If done correctly, Sanguis will meet his end there. Continue left, exit through the black door, and head down the steps.

If the path in front of you is blocked by mannequins, you’ll have to bait Sanguis to lunge at you and break the mannequins

After a healing moment for Julia, you’ll see a ghostly duo entering through a door to Floor 0. Save your progress before concluding this section!

Eventually, you’ll reach a room with a retracting knife blade. You’ll have to bait Sanguis to jump at you just as the knife comes out to impale him.

Continue heading left and head through the black door at the end.

Go down the steps, and Julia will bandage her hand using the first aid kit.

You’ll see a short cutscene of a ghost carrying another one in through the door to Floor 0.

Save your progress using the Save Point nearby.

This wraps up this part of the walkthrough. Good luck out there as you continue on your epic journey through Tenebris Somnia!
