Grab some dynamite from the left and keep moving left to reach a gated area. Use the dynamite to break through the barricade. Move forward in a straight line on the other side to return to the elevator.
The Caves
Once you shake off the dinosaur, you’ll reach your first puzzle. At the expedition camp, head left to the projector and check out the video being shown.
From the projector, continue left into a challenging platforming section that tests your skills. Climb until you find a terminal featuring a red button; pressing it lowers a platform that you can use to further your progress. Don’t dawdle; make sure to use the platform before it rises back up!
Continue traversing to the other side of the cave and drop down at the end. Move along the path to the red chasm, where you’ll grab your first weapon — albeit one that’s currently out of commission. Nearby, you’ll also meet an NPC who will set you on the next quest.
As you venture through the cavern, make your way all the way to the far end and follow the winding path after you drop down at the end. You’ll need to hop over that striking red chasm in front of you, where you’ll grab your very first weapon of the game – although, spoiler alert, it’s a bit banged up right now! Keep your eyes peeled because you’re destined to encounter an NPC shortly, and they’ll be handing out your next mission for this chapter.
Retrieving The Tooth
After the video, you’ll need to make a hasty retreat. Turn back and sprint left, taking your second right to ascend further. Keep climbing the ramps until you get a usable gun that can fend off any pursuing predators.
Once the danger subsides, return to the NPC for updates. You can utilize the terminal to lower the bridge on your way back, creating a shortcut for future runs.
When you speak to Dalton, another chase begins with the same monster. Bolt in the opposite direction and remember to stay on a clear and direct path as you platform your way away quickly.
Advance along the path, utilizing the goo for dynamic platforming. At the top, you’ll discover a light switch you need to activate. After powering it, retrace your steps while continuing to follow the straight path ahead.
The Elevator And Spectrum Lights
Continue down the right path leading deeper into the caverns. At the end, turn around to find Dalton Jr. who sets you on a new mission: power on the spectrum lights scattered around.
Retrace your steps to find the first light by heading right from Dalton Jr.’s spot. Also, check the wooden shed to find another light source hidden inside.
Next, head back to the ramp you originally descended. At the top, turn left to find the third light. Finally, head to Dalton’s last known position to power up the generator while maintaining your run — the monster will be right behind you. Afterward, chat with DJ and watch the next video on the projector.
After you’ve had your chat with the NPC, turn around and head off to the right; this leads you straight to your very first light! Once you’ve soaked in the ambiance, make your way to the wooden shed on the far left side of that light to uncover your next luminous source waiting for you inside.
Cavern B features a sprawling platforming area that leads to the top of a tower. Follow the straightforward path carefully while timing your wall runs. When you reach the peak, you’ll find the elevator key.
Finding The Elevator Key
To exit out of the deeper caverns, utilize the ramp and then head left until you reach the entrance to Cavern A. There’s a terminal waiting for you here – just interact with it to gain access. Continue along the linear path in this cavern, hopping and climbing your way through as you’re on the lookout for some dynamite!
Once you have the dynamite in hand, make your exit by taking a right turn. After you drop down, take another right and keep pushing straight ahead to find yourself at the Cavern B entrance. Time to put that dynamite to good use by blowing the entrance wide open!
Cavern B is packed with a lengthy platforming segment that will take you right to the top of the spire. The path here is quite clear with minimal distractions, but trust me – timing your wall runs is crucial for success. When you finally reach the summit, make sure to grab the elevator key that’s waiting for you there.
Making An Escape
To make your way down from the spire, hop onto the ledge on the left side of the key’s spot. Once you hit the ground, watch out – that monster is hot on your heels! Quickly retrace your steps through Cavern B to make a hasty escape, and be swift about it; the area is going to crumble around you!
As you navigate through the tight corridor at the end, don’t forget to keep yourself hidden from the lurking monster. Patiently wait for the dinosaur to edge closer to the cliff’s brink, and then take your chance! Utilize that ledge to execute a flawless drop kick on your foe, sending it tumbling down.
On your left, you’ll find some handy dynamite just waiting for you to pick it up. Continue journeying to your left until you reach a gate that’s completely blocked. It’s time to put that dynamite to good use—detonate it to blast a way through! Once you’ve done that, continue along the straightforward path on the other side, and you’ll find your way back to the elevator.
After dropping down, prepare for one last chase sequence. Ascend and platform your way quickly through the level toward the elevator. Upon reaching the top, climb the ladder to complete this chapter.
