Here’s everything you need to know about Divine Math in Vanguards.
An overview of Divine Math Vanguards Familiar in Vanguards
You can purchase Divine Math as a Vanguard Familiar from the First Commander Dungeon Shop for 500 First Commander Tokens. It’s important to note that this Familiar can only be used with the Lizard (Fission) unit, meaning it won’t work with any other unit in the game.
Lizard (Fission) gains a significant boost with the Divine Math Familiar, unlocking three unique passives that enhance its damage, support abilities, and even introduce a special transformation. These passives are Natural Disaster, The Monster Who Ate a Star, and Peak of Atomic Power. Let’s take a closer look at each of them.
Natural Disaster
- This Familiar increases Lizard (Fission)’s damage by a whopping 3,000% and improves meter gain by 100%. However, keep in mind that this meter gain does not apply to the meter taken by The Monster Who Ate a Star.
The Monster Who Ate a Star
- This passive boosts the damage of Spark-type units by 80%.
- It also raises the damage of Anniversary-type units by 80% and their range by 20%.
- Nuclear Apex’s Burn now uses 70% of the Radiation meter instead of the usual 50%.
- When one of your other units gains meter, Lizard (Fission) captures 20% of that gain (rounded up).
- This captured meter is evenly distributed among placed Lizards with this Familiar and adds to their Radiation meters. Note that this effect has a shared five-second cooldown among those Lizards.
Peak of Atomic Power
- Upon reaching its final upgrade, Lizard (Fission) accesses Nuclear Meltdown. After using this ability, the unit transforms and retains this transformation as long as it stays placed.
Here’s what happens once the unit transforms:
- Lizard gains the Fire element and increases Fire unit damage by 80%.
- The unit also applies the Scorched status ailment for 60 seconds, which supersedes any Scorched effects from other players’ units or your units lacking this Familiar.
- If another of your Anniversary or Fire-type units is within Lizard (Fission)’s range, the Scorched effect raises Fire-type units’ damage by 40% instead of just 20%.
- Heat Overload charges fully in 10 seconds instead of the normal 20 seconds.
While transformed, Lizard (Fission) can stack Atomic effects:
- Each time any of your units in this unit’s range use a damaging Active Ability, Lizard earns one Atomic Stack (up to 10), which is maintained while placed.
- Each Atomic Stack boosts this unit’s Heat Overload damage multiplier by 20%, culminating in a 400% multiplier at full charge—up to 600%.
- Every Atomic Stack additionally allows Anniversary units to gain a 10% boost in both damage and critical damage.
