If you’re just getting started with Voidpet, the dungeon system can feel a little overwhelming at first. There are a lot of pets, different roles to build around, boss stages to understand, and plenty of items that aren’t worth spending your resources on early in the game.
The good news is that you don’t need to figure everything out by trial and error. Once you understand how to put together your team, which stats to prioritize, when to spend your Keys and Gems, and which bosses are actually worth farming, progression becomes much easier.
Voidpet Dungeon Beginner Guide – Spending, Use of Keys
This Voidpet Dungeon beginner guide covers the important stuff you’ll want to know as you progress, including team setup, pet building, boss farming, useful items, resource spending, and answers to some of the common questions that come up later. If you’re stuck on a particular floor, the team-building and boss sections should give you a good starting point rather than simply throwing resources at the problem.
Team Setup
To set up your team properly, the most important thing is having an ideal lineup for the situation and pet building.
Team Building
An ideal team usually consists of:
- One Tank
- Two DPS
- One Healer/Support
Some situations might call for another change in setup, like dropping a support or adding an additional tank, or foregoing a healer for a third DPS, but usually your team will be in that lineup.
Example:
- Resistance
- Panic
- Apathy
- Merry
Pet Building
The general rule of thumb is that DPS get CRIT/SPD/ATK items and tanks get STAM/DEF items.
Healers depend on whether they have a variety of different roles. Some legendary items may have improper subsets, but abilities may be worth it.
Examples of proper emblems on what to put on each class of pet:
DPS/Healer:
- Ant
- Teeth
- Shell
- Blue creature
- Pink creature
- Small flying creature
- Yellow slime
- Red item
- Blue item
- Drink
- Coffee
- Blue drink
- Pink drink
Tanks:
- Brown hat
- Brown armor
- Pink armor
- Pink item
- Green item
- Green shield
Boss Farming / Use of Keys

Spending Guide
There are lots of common questions regarding what to buy with gems, XP, voidmatter, and actual money, so here are the answers.
Use of Keys
Keys should be typically spent on XP, however they can be used on Boss Training to hunt for missing rare/epic items to complete the reward track.
After Floor 310 it is recommended to farm for legendary items using the Boss Farming guide.
Use of XP/VM
XP is typically prioritized for DPS pets, but is situational to what floor you’re stuck on.
Voidmatter is similar, prioritizing DPS items, specifically speed items. However, save the bulk of your voidmatter to use when you’re stuck on a floor, then give it to the stats and items you’re lacking.
Use of Gems
For the most part, spending gems is to speed up progression.
Earlier on, you’ll want to prioritize spending gems on XP, but after a certain point, using gems on Boss Training for missing items is helpful.
At any point, you can use them on the AFK chest to get extra evolution items.
Using them on Vivid Shrooms is useful as well, especially if you’re patient enough to wait for resources to accumulate, as Vivid Shrooms are much scarcer later on, and eggs regenerate naturally and at a far quicker pace than Vivid Shrooms.
NEVER USE THEM ON EGGS.
Use of Money
For those willing to whale out or just trying to figure out the best use of your buck:
- Elite Pass: Best value, the only option for light spenders.
- Gems: Especially the x2 bonuses, versatile uses.
- Astral Eggs: If you have a lot of cash and want legendary pets.
- Evolution Items: Solely if you want to play more actively.
- Dream Reapers: If you have a pet with a Higher Form.
Frequently Asked Questions
These are fairly common questions I see beginners ask a lot. If you have any questions not covered by this guide, feel free to ask me on Discord, username is thirteen__. Use my tier lists too!
What is Vivid Dust?
Vivid Dust is garnered via getting duplicate Vivids on a pet, used to purchase a vivid on any given pet.
Go to a pet’s profile, click on “Vivid”, then “Tap To Change Vivid”, then you can view all the vivids and their effects/price.
Does using 10 keys/10 eggs change anything to single pulls?
No.
What are Higher Forms?
Higher Forms are special vivid variants exclusive to specific pets.
Currently, they are only available for:
- Grel
- Lust
- Sloth
Each costing 16000 vivid dust, or via:
- 0.1% from Cosmic Truffles
- 0.5% from Dream Reapers
What are the drop rates for…?
Vivid and egg drop rates can be found in-game. Click on any interactable text with the (?) symbol next to it.
Item drop rates are unknown, but what we do know is that higher-stage bosses drop better item rates for rarer items.
How to stage up bosses?
Defeating bosses within floors will stage them up in Training.
Example:
- Floor 10 Harold = Stage 1
- Floor 110 Harold = Stage 2
- Etc.
HELP! HOW DO I BEAT THIS?!
First of all, elemental advantage is the most important thing.
Secondly, make sure that you’re building your team properly. Lastly, if you want to ask for help, do so in the Discord and ideally send the floor as well as your pets/items.
What Bogor/Doly Boss rewards are better?
Progressing Bogor is never encouraged. The first plasma of the next Bogar will always be better than the last plasma of the previous one.
What is the stage/boss order?
Keep in mind that the first pet of the enemy team dictates the element of the next boss.
The guide includes a chart showing the boss/stage order:
| Boss | Pre-1k | Post-1k | 1 & 6 | 2 & 7 | 3 & 8 | 4 & 9 | 5 & 10 |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Harold/Shift | x10/x60 | Rosetti/Gronk | X | X | X | X | X |
| Galax/Shift | x20/x70 | Tauron/Jagu… | Wood | Earth | Metal | Water | Fire |
| Krakoth/Death | x30/x80 | Smokano/Karthorak | Earth | Metal | Water | Fire | Wood |
| Vulko/Quasar | x40/x90 | Tauron/Syclinder | Metal | Water | Fire | Wood | Earth |
| Voidweaver/Tri-Clu | x50/x100 | Meihoo/Umbros | Water | Fire | Wood | Earth | Metal |
