Warhammer 40K: Boltgun 2 throws you into a chaotic world filled with intense battles and heavy firefights. As you navigate through the missions, expect to encounter fierce opposition and numerous weapon pickups that can change the tide of combat. The key to success lies in understanding your environment and making strategic decisions on the fly.
Your adventure starts on Novoza, where you’ve pushed back the heretic forces, but now it’s time to regroup and head to your fleet. Ensure you’re fully stocked on ammo and health packs before entering the fray, as each battle will test your limits.
Before diving into the details, make sure to grab significant weapons like the Volkite Calvier early in the Fleet Rendezvous mission, as they will prove indispensable against heavily armored foes later on.
We successfully defeated all the heretic forces on the planet Novoza. However, our battle is far from over, as we have to cleanse their existence fully. Everyone has heard about our success, and now it’s time to reunite with our fleet.

Fleet Rendezvous – Uninvited Guests
As you reconnect with the fleet, your ship will be covered in blood. According to the collected information, Vashtorr’s monstrous Ark of Omen has invaded the ship. With no choice but to fight, you have to complete the mission. At the beginning of the level, you will find the seventh new weapon: Volkite Calvier.
Open the first door with the control panel to your left and reunite with the friendly forces. There are numerous of them, but as you reach the main hall, multiple enemy shuttles will crash-land into our fleet. All the enemies are heavily armored giants that can only be killed with loads of ammo.
A purge section will begin. Pick up the infinite ammo purity seal in the middle of the arena and go all guns blazing. After a few minutes, you will be able to defeat all the enemies in the area. Now, open the next door and use the elevator to reach the lower levels of the ship. At the first elevator stop, multiple enemies will surround you from three directions.
Utilize your complete arsenal and defeat them. Then, at the second stop, your allies will make an entry, but two other doors will open to reveal multiple enemies again. After defeating them, go through the door with numerous health and shield drops.
To progress further, you’ll have to complete the platforming section before you. First, shoot the control panel to lower the platform, then jump over the gap and shoot the three control panels subsequently to open the cooling hatches. Jump on them and get ready to take on a massive wave of enemies.
Once you’ve dealt with them, visit the first room to your left and activate the control panel to use the jump pad. Use it to jump across the huge gap, then keep moving forward until you reach the control room. There, activate a panel and drop through the newly opened hatch to enter the reactor room.
Here, the final purge section will begin, where your main objective is to defeat the giant, spider-like enemies called Maulerfiends. If you’re struggling against them, throw a grenade to weaken their armor, then keep shooting. As soon as the purge ends, run towards the final control panel, and the protagonist will take down the Ark of Omen’s ship. With that, the chapter will end, and we move toward our second major planet: Amara Mors.
Frozen Terror: Breaking The Ice
The heretics have found a new haven at the cold planet of Amara Mors. Your job is to enter their fortress and clear it out so they don’t take over the planet. After your ship drops you on the planet, move forward and defeat every enemy in your way.
At the second checkpoint, visit the room to your left and interact with the control panel to open the door before you. Break the ice covering the gates and look out for the enemies in the watchtower. Continue ahead and drop from the platform; defeat all the enemies here. Enter the right watchtower, then activate the control panels at its top to open the next gate.
Drop down, then go through the newly opened gate. A Khrone Berzerker will try to ambush you. You can either kill it or break the ice bridge below it. Keep moving forward from here. The path is pretty convoluted, so if you get stuck, press N to find the objective’s location. Once you reach an ice slide, shoot the ice gates and keep sliding until you reach blood-ridden depths.
To leave it, you will need a red key. There’s an ice gate to your right, so break it, but a purge will start immediately. Defeat the monsters, get the red key, reach the lower areas using the platform, and a few moments later, you will reach the second ice slide, which will lead you to a massive bridge.
And here, the final purge section begins. Hundreds of fodder enemies will rush toward you, and your job is to annihilate them all. Suddenly, numerous big enemies will also appear in the purge, so defeat them all. Once it’s done, the final gate will open. Interact with it to end the level.
Frozen Terror: Flash Freeze
We are now inside the mountain. However, the heretics’ facility’s temperature is colder than the snowstorm outside. Progress through the facility, and you’ll notice that the enemies are frozen in the beginning area. To go to the next area, one of the frozen enemies is protecting the control panel. So, melee the frozen enemy to clear the path, but the enemy will come back to life to fight you.
Now, follow the path from the door you just opened, then get ready to fight a horde of enemies. Many are still frozen, so make sure to accurately shoot your enemies without reviving others. Additionally, some perks are hidden inside the ice; you can break them.
Move forward in this area until you enter a cave with multiple frozen enemies. When you reach the midpoint, look left to find ice covering the bottom path. Break it, go forward, and there you will find a purple key. Drop from the cliff and follow the alternate path in the second area. It will lead you to a small room filled with enemies, protecting the red key in the middle.
You can jump across them to get the key from the ice, then interact with the control panel to unlock the next door. Continue through the hallways with multiple doors, and you will eventually reach an open area with an elevator that requires both the purple and red keys to operate.
Use it to go below. Here, beware of the big enemies frozen in ice. Make sure to avoid shooting them, then follow the only available path to a station above, where you will find your eighth weapon: Rocket Launcher. Destroy the enemies before you to access the control panel, then drop into the main area and head towards the yellow key; press N to find your way.
After you pick up the yellow key from the other station while also avoiding the frozen enemies, drop into the main area again. Open the yellow gate; it’s pretty slow. Fight enemies while it opens, then break three ice walls inside it to exit the level.
Frozen Terror: Bitter Bloodshed
The final level of Frozen Terror begins. Pick up the ammo in the ice, then break the ice on the ground to go deeper into the facility. This whole area is enshrouded in darkness, and navigating is a real pain. Regularly press N here to find the right path, and keep moving forward until you see a stopped fan.
Jump through it and go deeper into the frozen area. Here, you have to find the red key. Follow the disjointed path, and you will eventually find the red key protected by multiple enemies. Now, push forward to the red key gate and open it. Go through the cave, and you will later reach a massive thermal fan blocked by ice.
The level gets inconveniently harder here. Hundreds of enemies will pursue you. You can either fight them or keep breaking the ice on the floor to keep going downwards. At the bottom, all hell will break loose, as enemies will start fighting each other. However, if you get into the spotlight, they’ll focus on you. So, to mitigate this situation, find the purple key at the bottom and open the thermal fan’s hatch.
Inside it, you will find the level’s exit, and the Frozen Terror chapter will end.
