Silent Hill: Townfall is a survival horror game that places a greater emphasis on stealth than combat. That said, some sections favor a more combat-focused approach, such as Part 5: Richard.
As a Silent Hill game, the silent hill townfall experience features its fair share of brutal puzzles and challenging sections. Part 5 includes both, although it is relatively short, and introduces some extremely annoying enemies that can deliver some pretty solid jump scares.
Make sure you have your health supplies topped off before starting this run, as you will be doing plenty of backtracking through tight corridors. Don’t waste your initial bullets on misses, because ammo scarcity becomes a real issue once the monsters start grouping up.

Silent Hill: Townfall – Part 5: Richard Walkthrough – Chapter 12: Getting Inside
Once the cutscene ends, take control of Richard and move left then right. Look for a small yellow area on the right side, open the door, and interact with the machine to open the gate.
Head left twice until you reach a door labeled Visitors and Employees Sign In. Enter this room and check the last locker on the left to find a locked cabinet.
Enter The Building Through The Shutter

Interact with the shutter on the left to gain access to the main building. Once inside, open the door on the right; be prepared for a minor jumpscare as you proceed, then look for the phone on the right to save your progress.
Unlock the main door, head up the stairs, and grab the Generator Key from the cabinet located on the southeast wall. Expect a monster to dash through the fire exit as you leave this room.
Power Up The Generator
Follow the monster through the fire exit and down the stairs to find the generator. Before using your key, move the valve at the back-right of the machine to restore power.
Head east to a new room, check the computer, and enter 147 to retrieve the first aid kit from the gym locker. This is essential for survival, so don’t skip it.
Head Up Using The Lift – Chapter 13: Another Attempt

Locate the green light, enter the lift, and press the power followed by the arrow-up button. When it halts, open the gate at the path’s end to climb further.
Follow the path until you reach a ladder on the right side and climb up, then back down again. Look for a window on your right to slip inside the next area.
Interacting with the door triggers a cutscene where you receive the Shotgun. Grab the medical supplies from the nearby washroom before heading toward the stairs.
Keep Going Up
Pick up the CEG HQ Map near the stairs and scavenge for shotgun ammo near the bodies you encounter. Thoroughly search the northwest area and the washroom for extra bullets and gauze.
Shoot any monsters you encounter on your way to Level 4, ensuring you follow up with shots if they flee. Keep an eye out for hidden enemies lurking behind pillars.
Search near Richard’s body for more ammo and continue left. Keep your weapon ready, as these creatures love to hide in plain sight throughout these rooms.
Head Up The Stairs To Keep Progressing

Check every room for loot before heading to the stairs at the end of the path. Collect the first aid kit by the body near the elevator.
After the cutscene, grab the Access Card Level 3/4 and save at the telephone. Use this card to open the door to the left of the stairs.
Loot the H.R. Records room for gauze and bullets. Deal with the two monsters outside, then enter the Head of H.R. office to grab more supplies before using your card on the next door.
Head Down To Level 3
Descend to Level 3 while watching for monsters, then use your access card to enter the Finance and Public Relations area. Sweep the room on the left for supplies.
You will need your card to enter the office; be ready to fight as a monster rushes you immediately. Save your game at the telephone inside and check the computer for emails.
Check the west-facing room for bullets, gauze, and a note in the drawer. Keep alert for monsters and search for Richard’s Note near the corpse.
Once you are finished looting, head to P.R. Records and use the code 1607 to open the door.
Head Up The Stairs

Grab the CEO Storeroom Key from the room near the body, then unlock the storeroom to collect the Projector Bulb and CEG Checkout Sheet.
A monster will ambush you as you exit the storeroom, so take it down quickly. Head back down to Level 3 Finance and use your access card to proceed.
Enter the code 2709 to access the room and loot the Projector Lens from the C.F.O. office. You are now ready to leave the Finance area.
Head Back To The Top
Return to the Level 3/4 access card room, insert the bulb and lens into the projector, and start it. Pick up the CEO Maintenance Key from the body’s hand.
Use this key to unlock the door nearby, descend the ladder, grab the medical supplies, and head through the final door to progress further down the ladder.
