Silent Hill: Townfall Silent Hill Townfall Guide

Navigate the tense streets of Clara Woods in Silent Hill: Townfall with this step-by-step walkthrough for locating key items and solving late-game puzzles.

Silent Hill: Townfall centers on the intertwined fates of Simon, Zoe, and Richard. You will gradually piece their stories together as you push through the game, so keep an eye on environmental details. These characters are at the heart of the mystery, and everything you find serves to fill in the gaps of their history.

Survival horror in this title relies heavily on stealth rather than brute force, which caught me off guard a few times early on. It is easy to waste your limited resources fighting enemies that you should really just sneak past, especially since combat can be so unforgiving. Stick to the shadows and conserve your ammo for when you are truly backed into a corner.

Before you dive into the Clara Woods area, make sure you have your CRTV handy and check that you have enough healing supplies. You do not want to reach the CEG Headquarters empty-handed and realize you missed a critical save point.

Since this experience prioritizes careful movement over open combat, you will frequently hit walls where a single wrong turn costs you precious health. The puzzles here are designed to be tricky and require a bit of patience to solve. I have laid out the steps to clear the Clara Woods section without losing your mind.

Silent Hill Townfall Part 4 Clara Woods Chapter 9 Begin Again

Once the opening cutscene wraps up, return to your initial starting point and follow the path ahead until the next scene triggers. You will encounter a section filled with bodies; you must navigate this carefully without sprinting. Keep your pace slow and watch for any bodies that appear to be twitching or acting strangely.

If you notice even the slightest movement from a body, find an alternative route immediately. Sticking to a path where an enemy is active will lead to a grab and significant health loss. Stay vigilant to avoid these encounters entirely.

Always keep an eye on the power poles lining the road, as enemies can drop from above. Checking your vertical surroundings is just as important as watching the ground in front of you.

Keep Progressing Through The Town

At the end of the path, turn left to continue the main story. If you are hunting for Strange Postcard 10, head right instead and enter the alleyway at the end of that path. You will see a door ahead with a monster body positioned nearby.

Open the door and retreat slightly to ensure there is no unusual movement from the body. Once you confirm it is clear, run in quickly to grab the Strange Postcard from the shack.

Head back to the main road and locate the board on the right to grab the Clara Woods map. Afterward, duck into the store on your left to find a box of bullets, a note, and some healing items. Make sure you clear out the shop fully.

Inside this store, you will also find a machine that requires fine-tuning. Complete the adjustment process, then head back out to the street.

Once outside, turn right and then left, walking past the map board again. You will start getting static on your CRTV; equip it to hear a message from Richard. Follow his instructions to find a phone to call him.

Find the phone booth and look for the poster inside to find the number 946. Call it to contact Richard, save your game, and then exit to see the new marker on your map showing his likely location.

Exit the booth, turn right twice, and proceed forward while remaining cautious of enemies falling from above. You will see where you previously placed an item, and you now need to find a way to reopen that path.

Look for a store on your right, enter it, and grab the Lockbox Key from the cash register. Use the telephone in the back room to save your progress before heading back out to continue along the path.

Keep a sharp eye on the right side for another Strange Postcard, which you can snag by breaking the glass display. Proceed through the final door on your right to enter the apartments.

Exploring The Apartments

Enter the first door on your right and head into the kitchen to use your key on the locked box. Collect the items, then head upstairs to find more gauze in the washroom and a Strange Postcard hidden in the bedroom.

Be extra careful here, as there is a monster patrolling these apartments. As you exit and head left, stay ready to use your melee weapon when a creature inevitably lunges at you.

Exploring CEG Lockers Building

Continue left, staying alert for another crawling monster; hit it with your melee weapon before it can initiate a grab. Navigate to the northwest exit, ensuring you strike any twitching enemies before they can lock onto you.

Once inside the building, look for the barcode machine and the scanner nearby. Scanning the barcode provides the code 184 for Locker 75, while the computer on the left gives you the code 772 for the Lost and Found.

Head to Locker 75, which is near the entrance, and input 184 to secure the Flare Gun and Flare Cartridges. These will be essential for your later encounters.

Pop into the secondary room to grab the medical supplies and use the telephone to save your game. Do not forget to pick up the Manager’s Note from the drawer before you leave.

Use the code 772 to open the Lost and Found locker to receive the South Brae House Key. Grab the new plank near the fire exit and head back out the way you came in.

Heading To South Brae House Number 5

After exiting the building, turn right and open the gate using the button on your left. Clear the enemies ahead with your gun, then climb the stairs to unlock House Number 5 with the key you just retrieved.

Dispatch the enemy inside, perform the fine-tuning in the living room, and go upstairs to grab the Disk Case Key from the bedroom. Find the machine next to the safe and use the key to extract the Grouped Floppy Disks.

Head to Atlas Computers and open the container in the left room to obtain the Fix-A-Disk software. Make sure to loot the medical box for extra healing supplies before you head back.

Return To South Brae House Number 5

Back at the computer in House Number 5, insert the Fix-A-Disk software and press Begin. When the system prompts you, swap the software for Floppy Disk 2 of 3 without canceling the process.

Select the Repair Volume option, then follow the prompts to insert Disk 1 of 3, Disk 2 of 3, and Disk 3 of 3 in order. Finally, trigger the computer to print the image to complete the sequence.
