Your adventure through Silver Pines hits a critical point at the Thelend Broadcasting station, where the stakes ramp up considerably. As you hunt for Eddie Velvet, unexpected twists await you, especially as Red Walker encounters challenges that test his resolve. Be ready; this chapter is full of memorable moments that’ll keep you on edge!
Exploring Thelend is a mix of puzzle-solving, combat, and atmospheric storytelling. Many players, myself included, find the puzzle mechanics a bit perplexing at first, so that’s where I’d focus my efforts. It’s easy to overlook key items or strategies, especially when the action heats up and the story takes sharp turns.
Before diving in, ensure you’ve got enough ammo and health items, as you’ll face several enemies and challenges along the way. Trust me, starting off with a well-stocked inventory can save you a lot of grief!
This is part of the Silver Pines Walkthrough Hub, where you can find detailed guidance through the intricacies of the game.

- Obtaining the Magenta Lens
- Thelend Broadcasting Boss Fight
- Finale: A Place That Ends
- How to Unlock All Endings in Silver Pines
Entering the Thelend Broadcast Center is your first task. You’ll notice the main door is boarded up, but don’t worry; head to the right and slip through the hole in the wall to enter. Once inside, take a moment to inspect the TV set, which allows you to cycle through four Studio Cams —one of which highlights a doorway engulfed in red light. Move north behind the counter into the room to your right, where you’ll find the Recording Booth and the Audio/Video Console waiting for your inspection. Here, a wire dangles from channel 2 on the top audio strip, ready for you to connect it to any of the channels 1 through 7 on the bottom strip. Don’t worry about finishing the connection yet, though—head back to the station entrance for now.
That locked door on the left remains out of reach for the moment, so keep moving. Head east and you’ll encounter a Toilet on the right—there’s some Money and Ammo to scoop up, but it’s not essential.
Continue north along the passage, then take a left into the Editing Area before moving through the door marked Stage 1.
Remember to save your progress at the Phone before you grab the Technical Manual from the table. Page two will show you how to set up cables in the Recording Booth, but first, you’ll need to locate two Cables.
Solving the Recording Booth Puzzle is crucial to your progress. The first Cable can be found inside the Editing Bay. Leave the Pantry through the door on your right, leading you into a room marked by the Live Show light.
Prepare for an ambush as an enemy drops from the ceiling—take him down. On the console to the right, you’ll spot your first Cable waiting for you.
A combination-locked gate is visible to your left, alongside some VHS Tapes on a rack where you can skim their titles.
Exit the Editing Bay and make your way to the Storage area to the east. Here, break the locked gate to the right and move along the northern path past it.
As you enter the area, an enemy will crash through the door on your left—make quick work of him. Head into the room on the left to snag a Cyan Lens for future use.
Next, move east, climb the passageway north right before the Backdoor Exit and keep pressing on until you reach the end of the northern path and confront a monster dropping from the ceiling. Take it down and grab another Cable from the shelf to your right.
Once you have both Cables, return to the Recording Booth and interact with the console. Insert the cables according to the arrangement you saw in the Technical Manual. You’ll hear a series of whispers echo through the room:
- All Lies
- Red Light
- No Breaks
- The Last Exit
Head back to the Editing Bay and check the VHS Tapes. Record the numbers corresponding to the titles that matched the whispers:
- All Lies – Rear View Lies – 0
- Red Light – Red Light, Dead Night – 0
- No Brakes – No Brakes No Mercy – 0
- The Last Exit – Finale: Last Exit – 2
Now, enter the code 0002 into the Combination panel to unlock the gate. Inside, you’ll find a Backdoor Key; you can also engage the TV to watch a show.
Access Stage 1 Area by going back to the Backdoor exit near the Storage area. Use the Backdoor Key to unlock the door and step outside.
Proceed down the stairs, continuing north where you will inevitably encounter an ambush. Deal with the enemies, then veer left to uncover another northern passage.
Stick to the left again and keep going north up the steps to find the Antenna area, but you’ll soon discover you need a key for access.
Take the south path at the end, but note that the door at the top of the ladder isn’t accessible right now. This means you’ll need to take the southern exit here as well.
Jump up onto the ledge to the right and climb through the window to access the Office. Pick up the Stage 1 Key from the table, but be wary—an enemy will drop down from above as soon as you do.
Clear the enemy and unlock the nearby door to connect the room with the rest of the area. Then, make a quick dash back to the Pantry to use your newly acquired Stage 1 Key on the northern door leading into Stage 1.
Inside Stage 1, there’s an air vent on the left that holds a Memento. Walk through the door on your right to proceed.
Examine the Stage Light focusing on the area below. You’ll find slots for three colored lenses on it—insert the Cyan Lens you retrieved earlier, but to solve the puzzle, you’ll need two additional lenses.
Obtaining the Yellow Lens involves heading right from the Stage Light. You’ll spot a staircase leading down to Stage A. Before proceeding, you’ll notice the Thelend Broadcasting Map just past the staircase. One of the doors unlocks a shortcut to Storage. Head down the stairs once you’re prepared.
At the base, grab the Terminal Drive Script from the chair on your left. Afterward, push all the way to the left into the next room, fighting off enemies and picking up the Tower Key laying on a table.
The door to your left offers a quick route back to the back alley. Make your way over to the Antenna area via the back alley as marked on your map, and pass through the gate using the Tower Key.
Climb the tower using the ladder as fast as you can!
When you reach the top, quickly grab the Yellow Lens and hightail it down the ladder before a swarm of crows attacks – they won’t bother you once you’re out of their area.
Obtaining the Magenta Lens requires a return to Stage A. Head as far right as possible and take the stairs down to the Workshop . Go left until you reach the metal catwalk area in the Prop Storage and deal with the enemy lurking here before continuing north. Proceed to the right and through the door, then take the manhole down to the lower section. Clear any enemies you find and make your way left, taking the exit to the south. Continue to the far right, where you’ll discover the Magenta Lens waiting on a table—go ahead and take that!
The first Cable is inside the Editing Bay. Leave the Pantry through the door on the right and enter the room with the Live Show light above it.
Go right and take down the enemy that drops in from the ceiling.
The first Cable is on the console to the right. Pick it up.
You’ll also find a combination-locked gate to your left along with some VHS Tapes on a rack near the consoles. You can read the title of each VHS tape.
Finale: A Place That Ends brings you to a new area that isn’t marked on your map. Take a moment to soak in the atmosphere before heading east.
Interact with the intercom ahead to communicate with the enigmatic figure on the other side.
Pressing onward, keep your eyes peeled for a hole in the floor—jump through when you spot it to move forward in the story.
An enemy will barge in through the door to the left as soon as you reach this area. Take it down.
Head into the room on the left and pick up the Cyan Lens. You’ll need it later.
Go east next and go up the passage to the north, just before the Backdoor Exit.
Go all the way to the right and take down the monster that falls from the ceiling. Grab the Cable from the shelf on the right.
Return to the Recording Booth and interact with the console. Insert them into the correct slots according to the image found in the Technical Manual. Check the image above for the correct solution.
You’ll now hear a whisper in the room repeating four phrases:
- All Lies
- Red Light
- No Breaks
- The Last Exit
Return to the Editing Bay and check the VHS Tapes. The phrases you heard match some of the titles. Note down the numbers below the matching titles:
- All Lies – Rear View Lies – 0
- Red Light – Red Light, Dead Night – 0
- No Brakes – No Brakes No Mercy – 0
- The Last Exit – Finale: Last Exit – 2
Enter the code 0002 into the Combination panel on the left to open the gate
Inspect the chest up ahead to find the Backdoor Key. You can also interact with the TV to watch a show.
Access Stage 1 Area
Return to the Backdoor exit just before the Storage area. Use the Backdoor Key to open the door and head outside.
Go down the stairs and continue up the passage to the north.
You will run into an ambush here. Take down the enemies, then go left to find another passage heading north.
Keep going left. The path to the north, just before the steps, leads to the Antenna area. But we’ll need a key to access it.
Continue left and take the southern path at the end. The door up the ladder is locked for now. Take the south exit from here as well.
Jump up the ledge to the right and climb in through the window to reach the Office.
Grab the Stage 1 Key from the table. An enemy will ambush you from above. Take it down and unlock the door to the right to connect the room with the rest of the zone.
Run back to the Pantry and use the Stage 1 Key to unlock the northern door. Head through to enter Stage 1.
There’s an air vent to the left that will lead you to a Memento. Go through the door to the right.
Check the Stage Light aiming at the area below.
There are slots to enter three colored lenses on the Stage Light. We already found the Cyan Lens, so we can put that in. But to solve the puzzle, we still need two more lenses.
Obtaining the Yellow Lens
Go right from the Stage Light. You’ll see a set of stairs heading down to Stage A. Just past the stairs, you’ll find the Thelend Broadcasting Map. The door to the right unlocks a shortcut back to the Storage. Head down the stairs to Stage A when you’re ready.
You’ll find the Terminal Drive Script on a chair to the left at the bottom of the stairs.
Pick it up. Then head all the way to the left to the next room. Take out the enemies and grab the Tower Key from the table.
The door to the left unlocks a shortcut back to the back alley of the station.
Make your way to the Antenna area through the back alley. The location is marked on your map. Head through the gate using the Tower Key.
Climb up the tower using the ladder.
You’ll need to be quick when you reach the apex. Grab the Yellow Lens and quickly run down the ladder. You’ll be attacked by a horde of crows. They won’t attack you once you leave the area.
Obtaining the Magenta Lens
Return to Stage A and head all the way to the right. Take the stairs down to the Workshop.
Turn left and continue forward till you reach a metal catwalk section of the Prop Storage. Take out the enemy up ahead. Then head north up the passage.
Go all the way to the right and head through the door. Go down the manhole to the lower section.
Take down the enemy in the area and head left. Take the exit to the south.
Go all the way to the right to find the Magenta Lens sitting on a table. Pick it up.
Thelend Broadcasting Boss Fight
Return to the Stage Light and insert the final two lenses into their respective slots. You’ll need to turn the stage light red to reveal the door you saw in the Stage Cam when you first entered Thelend Broadcasting.
To do so, make sure the Magenta and Yellow Lenses are inserted while the Cyan is pulled out. You’ll find this information on the third page of the Technical Manual.
Go back down to Stage A and head toward the door to trigger the boss fight. The creature from the Town Hall is back for a rematch.
This time, the boss is stronger and more aggressive, constantly walking up to you to deal damage. Luckily, it doesn’t have any new moves you’ll have to worry about.
This fight is pretty straightforward. Keep running away and shooting at the boss till it goes down. You can grab the 8 Ball Gear Shift Memento from the body after defeating the boss. Enter through the door on the stage to get transported somewhere else.
Finale: A Place That Ends
You’re now at a new location that’s unavailable on the map. After taking in the sights, start walking east.
Interact with the intercom up ahead to talk to a person on the other side.
After that, keep moving forward until you spot a hole on the floor. Jump through.
